It's about 11 pm and I have been avoiding everybody since Kenny's death I kept our secret to the grave every time I pushed him off me and he was touching me and now it's just done? My mom demanded so I did and I fixed my hair as she walked in with my heart rate going threw the roof "why where you not open the door? Have you been crying" my mother asked "no? Mom just get out" I turned around and acted like I was cleaning and eventually ginny left "peach, you can talk to me is it the new school are you worried I know you took yesterday off but ginny made a friend maybe you can be round herl my mom softly said "it's not that" "what is it your dad has he contacted you recently" she's talking about my dad max he is from southern Carolina like me with a strong accent and has a nasty mouth when he's drunk  "no it's nothing?" I argued with her to the point she just walked out and I felt bad I did but...it's best if I shut everybody out that way nobody gets hurt it's the only way, I locked my door and decided to go out so I opened my window and as I climbed out and got it the floor the next door neighbour was there "hey are you okay, you moved in recently right? I'm Marcus" "Caroline.." I told him "Caroline? You have an accent you from down south" he asked "uh yeah, South Carolina" "Carolina wow, I'm just about to go smoke a joint if you wanna come" I thought about it as he's so bold "why not" I smiled and so we did we got to know each other a bit better but suddenly I could feel everything see everything hear everything "woah your fucked" Marcus said laughing as we walked back to our houses as I almost fell over but even this just made me feel the slightest better "listen I'll text you about doing this again?" "Yeah totally" I told him as we went our ways and I attempted to sneak back in the house ended up tripping as I made my way to the pipe "okay you can stay with me the night your parents are gonna catch you" Marcus but his arm around my shoulder as we made our way to his and his bedroom "sick room" I told him "thanks" he helped me to his bed and he took off my shoes "now sleep" he lightly shoved me so I lay down and then he lay next to me and not long after I passed out

1 pm the next day

I woke up after the best sleep of my life to Marcus "Caroline we have school" "shit shit shit it's my first day" we panicked and he gave me on of his hoodies to wear as I'm only wearing a crop top and shorts and we quickly rushed to school and it's English last period, ginny is in AP I'm in second curriculum with the rest of her friends "hey Ginnys sister right? I'm abbey this is Nora come sit with us" "nice to meet yall Caroline" "I thought you guys had a Texas accent" Nora asked "no uh I'm from southern Carolina moms Louisiana sisters Texas" "wow I love your accent" Brody I think his name is told me "thanks" "brody that's Ginnys sister" max warned him kind off "and she's hot" he wrote down his number down  and gave me it so I put it in my phone as I sat down, the class is the best one I have been in not really I mean nobody's working just on our phones messing about so I texted brody
