February 23rd. Today marks exactly two months and nineteen days since nalani had seen jude for the last time. Neither did she talk to him during that time.

Well, maybe except for the few words she had exchanged with him as she was asking him how he would pick up the rest of his stuff left at her house, to which he had replied that he was soon to pick it up - which he finally never did as he had sent trent over instead, who was just staying in LA for madelyn for a few days.

Even after the break up, Trent and Nalani never turned out to be awkward with each other and for the first time in her life, she was thanking god for letting them stay the way they were throughout the time of her relationship with jude because no matter if she liked it or not, she definitely needed a person like trent to remain in her life.

For the first two weeks after her break up, she had spend the time at her family's house and lucky for her, quality time with her family had helped her cope with the heartbreak faster, distracting her from the reality, making her forget at some point in the meantime.

Forget maybe wasn't the perfect word for that but it definitely made her realize that life goes on and there's nothing that she could do about it.

Of course, jude was still a big part of her life - she had spent the past months with him after all and nothing could've made her forget about him just like that, but holding onto something that was left in the past wasn't the greatest idea and she finally needed to convince herself to finally let it go if that's what he had wished for himself.

That was one of the multiple reasons why she had even cancelled the release of her upcoming album - and with that her entire schedule for january album promotions. She of course felt bad, due to all the work that everyone has put in this album throughout the filming process, but releasing an album that she had dedicated to her, now, ex boyfriend, would've been total nonsense.

And as of todays day, the medias haven't heard of the couple as one anymore and everyone started to live their own life's at last.

Right now, she decided not to worry too much as she was sat at one of her chairs at home on the side of her best friend as they were surrounded by multiple make up artists and stylists, getting them ready for todays premiere of the new season of Outerbanks.

"did trent actually accept the invite to be your plus one at the premiere?", the brunette questioned her best friend.

Madelyn and Trent were cute together, she had to admit, but she was genuinely confused on how their relationship had outlived hers, considering their different personalities - trent being an absolute kid, meanwhile madelyn was organized and optimistic. It left her actually wondering how this man was almost a whole 6 years older than them.

And of course she was happy for her best friend - she had finally found someone that she felt genuinely happy with after all, and it actually held longer than just two months, making their relationship the longest one right after hers and chase's relationship.

"yeah can you believe it", the blonde replied as her assigned make up artist was now applying eyeshadow on her eyelid.

"well that's gonna be one interesting night", nalani breathed out as she scrolled through her phone.

"do you want your hair up or down this time?", Janette, one of her hairstylists asked her as she took something out of her belt.

"down please", she smiled at the older lady as she got back to work.
