Returning to Hogwarts always brought a mix of emotions, but this time was different. As I prepared to leave, I stood at the platform with my new family. Despite the hardships, it was a good summer, mainly because of them. The warmth and kindness they had shown me were unlike anything I had experienced before.
Oliver, my cousin, was the most emotional of them all. Tears welled up in his eyes as he clung to me. "I'll miss you, Draco."
I ruffled his hair gently, trying to comfort him. "I'll be back soon enough, Oliver. Don't worry."
My aunt wrapped me in a tight embrace, holding on as if she never wanted to let go. "Take care of yourself, Draco," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.
My uncle followed suit, giving me a firm, reassuring hug. "Make us proud," he said, his tone conveying the depth of his support.
Then there was Nymphadora, my other cousin, who gave me a playful yet heartfelt hug. "Stay out of trouble and take care, alright?"
I couldn't help but smile at her. "I'll try my best."
As I boarded the train to Hogwarts, a sense of excitement filled me. A new semester awaited, full of possibilities. But first, I had business to take care of. It wasn't long before I found my friends reunited down the corridor.
Pansy leaned in, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "Are you boys ready?"
We all nodded in unison, knowing exactly what she was referring to. The time had come to confront Crabbe and Goyle, and we were more than prepared. Both were at the usual place, the fifth coach, with two other Slytherins. I didn't know who they were, maybe from another year.
"You two out," I commanded.
They barely reacted, all had mocking expressions. Before, anyone hold listen to me in a heartbeat, but now they clearly have no respect. It was annoying to realize I lost all the respect I had. Maybe it was more accurate to call it fear, anyone on their right mind would fear the Malfoy's.
"He said out." Blaize came to stand in front of me, this time they clearly felt intimidated, but didn't move.
"You boys are deaf or what?" Pansy said mockingly. "I'm going to count to three, if you're still here I promise to make your next years in Hogwarts a living hell." This obviously scared them, looks at each other unsure and quickly got up.
"Are you two afraid of her?" Crabbe asked furiously. "That's ridiculous. She's just a girl."
"Mate, she blew up the cauldron of the last dude who crossed her." He stated. "He lost both his eyebrows." He explained. "I also know of this girl who failed all her classes because this one sabotaged all of her assignments," he continued. "You're mental if you don't fear her."
Crabbe and Goyle clearly didn't knew well her. Of course, they didn't, they never got out of their way to try and get to know her better. But none of that was new to me, after all it was me who helped her blowing up the potion to hurt the guy who cheated on her. She knew I was good at potions, so she asked me for help to mess a potion to harm someone without being lethal and not being obvious it was a sabotage. And if I remember correctly, the last part was partially true too, she messed up with most of the assignments of this girl, but she didn't fail all her classes, just one or other. Pansy was pissed about this girl rudeness to Theo's love confession, she made him cry – said something along the line of 'would never date someone like you'.
Both got out of the compartment quite quickly. So, it was just us with Crabbe and Goyle. They were outnumbered. It was clear they looked uneasy. But they tried concealing it, like any Slytherin in disadvantage would do.
