The next day was Saturday. I woke up early, my mind set on talking to Dumbledore. As I made my way through the castle, I tried to suppress the anger bubbling within me with calm breaths. I needed to stay calm to articulate my thoughts properly. Each step echoed in the empty corridors, along with the sound of my deep breaths, trying to steady my nerves.

Reaching Dumbledore's office, I knocked and entered. Dumbledore greeted me with a calm demeanor, which only fueled my frustration. How can he still be calm under such circumstance? Is this old man finally going senile?

"I was expecting you, Mr. Malfoy," Dumbledore said, his voice serene.

"How can you be so calm?" I demanded.

Dumbledore's eyes twinkled. "Because, Draco, to solve this, I need to remain composed. Panic serves no one."

His wise words made me annoyed; he was ridiculously right. But I was more the type to get shit done complaining and getting stressed. I would still solve it, but with a dose of anxiety.

I took a breath before continuing. "Do you already have a plan?"

Dumbledore nodded but then added, "It's not something I will discuss with you. You've done your part. Now, you must let me take care of it."

"How did you take care of it before?" I pressed.

Dumbledore sighed. "I underestimated whoever is behind this. They made an excellent use of dark magic. But I am investigating."

With that, Dumbledore gently urged me towards the door, with a hand in my back guiding me towards the door. "I have matters to attend to regarding the tournament. Thank you for coming."

Then I was out of his office. I heard the door locking. I felt an urge to kick the door but controlled it. I left, feeling more infuriated than before. Our talk hadn't led to anything. Oh, fuck this. I'm just going to have breakfast to better my mood. So, I headed to the Great Hall. When I arrived at the Slytherin table, my friends were already eating.

"Where were you?" Theo asked.

"I talked to Dumbledore," I said, seating himself. "He's insisted he will take care of it. But didn't want to give me more details." As I talked, I served me with coffee, milk and some sweats. "He justifies himself saying that he underestimated the person behind it."

Blaise repeated his advice from the previous night. "It's out of your hands. Let him handle it mate."

"Yeah," Theo said. "I don't even know how we could help with it."

"I don't know what to do. But I need more time to think about. For now, I'm going to leave like this," I said while eating. "Oh, but I have some more news. I met Potter last night," I continued. "We talked about the possibility of a death eater putting his name in the goblet."

"So that's where you were," Theo commented.

"How sweet of you checking on him" Pansy said with a smile. "But about this possibility, it would make sense. But whoever it was would need to be inside Hogwarts."

Theo mumbled, "You mean like infiltrated?"

Pansy nodded. "It must be."

I pondered the possibilities: it could be a student, maybe a Ministry official, or someone hiding like Black had in their third year. If it were a student, it would mean they had access to dark magic beyond their years, which was both impressive and terrifying. The idea of a Ministry official being involved was equally troubling, suggesting corruption at the highest levels. Someone infiltrated from outside, like Black, meant there was a dangerous person on the loose within Hogwarts' walls.
