Deep Satin

The full moon is going to be Friday, it's Tuesday and lizzie was already feeling the effects. The transition itself may be much less painful but the few days before we're still almost unbearable.

Lily knew what was wrong with her best friend. She had found out in second year, after Lizzie had snapped at her after something small. She explained what was wrong and what she was, Lily was her best friend. She trusted her, and she never even hesitated to accept Lizzie for what she was. She never left, Lily was always as helpful as she could be on the week of the full moon. She brought Lizzie her school work and snacks while Lizzie stayed in bed or in the bath most of the week.

Remus was sat at breakfast wondering where his girl was, she was usually here before he was. He was hurting but he couldn't miss classes.

"Lily where's Liz?" He asked

"Oh uh um she's sick."

"Oh okay." He said confused, she was fine yesterday.

Lily grabbed a plate of breakfast and walked out of the great hall, Remus following right behind her.

"Is she okay? Can I see her?" He asked

"Um, let me ask her. Please don't get your hopes up, Lizzie isn't always in the best mood when she's sick."

They walked up the stairs to lilys room.

"Wait here." Lily said opening the door, she nudged Lizzie waking her up.

"I brought your breakfast, and Remus is outside the door, he was asking about you and if he could see you."

Lizzie nodded her head yes, the red head walked back over to the door letting Remus inside.

"Keep your voice low, her head is killing her."

Remus nodded to her walking over to Lizzie. They heard the door shut as Lily went to eat her breakfast and go to class.

"How are you feeling love?" Remus asked

"I'm okay." She replied trying to eat her food

"Are you sure? You- well you look awful."

Lizzie chuckled to herself, "I'm okay Remus. I promise." She said "you look kind of sick to. Are you alright?"

"I'm okay darling." Remus assured her, "I've got to get to class, is there anything you need at all?"

"No im okay, I think I'll get in the bath in a little bit, the water helps with the aches." She told him

He nodded kissing her forehead and walking to the door. "I'll see you later love."

It was around lunch time and Lily had let Remus take Lizzie her food. He had to practically beg to do it.

Remus knocked quietly on the door, he got no answer. Assuming she was asleep he opened the door, he didn't see her in the bed so he sat the plate down walking to the bathroom.

He knocked but got no reply. He didn't know where else she could be so he opened the door just to make sure.

She was there in the bath. Lizzie had fallen asleep in the tub. He had no idea how long she had been there but he went out to her room and got into her dresser to get her some clothes to change into.
