Royal Rumble
January 27 2024

The Royal Rumble Premium Live Event was here and it was an anticipated event. It was also the first major event not to involve the McMahon family nor Vince McMahon in any capacity since the company was sold to form TKO. So everyone was excited to see how it would turn out especially since there were only four matches on the card.

And they were right to be excited as Bayley would win the Woman's Royal Rumble match and was able to face a championship of her choosing at Wrestlemania, while Roman Reigns unsurprisingly would retain the Undisputed Universal Championship in a fatal four way match involving LA Knight, Randy Orton and AJ Styles. Then Logan Paul would defeat Kevin Owen's in a rather climatic way of disqualification.

And now it was time for the Men's Royal Rumble. There were a lot of cool moments in the match and it was already better than last year's underwhelming Men's Royal Rumble match. Even Andrade made his return to WWE.

Soon it was time for entrant number 22 to come out. There was a silence as those in the ring stopped, noticing how no one had come out yet.

The lights then went off as we see on the titantron as a spotlight pierced the darkness, illuminating the titantron where a montage of American landmarks and historical moments flickered to life. The Statue of Liberty stood tall against a backdrop of stars and stripes, while images of brave men and women in uniform flashed by, honoring their sacrifice.

A thunderous guitar riff shattered the silence, echoing through the arena. Red, white, and blue pyrotechnics erupted from the stage, showering sparks of patriotism across the sea of fans.

Suddenly it stopped as the lights slowly came back on leaving everyone to wonder what was going on.

Michael Cole: Well that was weird.

Pat: You're telling me. I thought we were getting someone new.

But the lights slowly faded again, this time a song started playing. A familiar one that brought the crowd into an uproar of cheers.

Michael: No... no, it can't- it can't be.

Pat: There's no way.

The spotlight shined on the stage as we see a man wearing a red and blue robe standing there as he stretches his arms out as the same pyro bursted out as the lights came back on as the entire crowd got on there feet, their uproar turning into cheers never heard this loud before.

Michael: OH MY GOD! IT IS!! IT'S WILLIAM RHODES!

Pat: Holy hell! Cody looks like he's seen a ghost.

The superstars in the ring all looked in complete shock, all of them even looked towards Cody whose eyes were completely widened as if he'd had no idea about this.

Michael Cole: The son of the man in the ring has arrived! Will Rhodes is in WWE.

Pat: The American Rebel has arrived.

With a roar of approval, the crowd waved American flags and chanted his name in unison. William made his way down the ramp with a smile across his face as Fans leaned over the barricades, reaching out to touch his hand or snap a quick selfie with their hero. William obliged, flashing a charismatic grin and acknowledging their unwavering support.

Reaching the ring apron, William paused to soak in the moment. He climbed onto the nearest turnbuckle, his silhouette framed against a backdrop of waving flags and cheering fans. With arms outstretched, he basked in the adoration of thousands.
