This is a poem about Selene; The Goddess of the Moon.

Moonlit Reverie
For the night and her dreams
Dedicated to @Crisssttyy

Silver I want you silver
Silver light silver sky
Chariot on the stars and
mist on the mountain high
Moon upon her shoulders
she dreams in her night realm
Silver skin silver hair
eyes of pale moonstone
Silver I want you silver
Under the lunar glow
things are watching her
but she cannot see them

Silver I want you silver
The bright stars of frost
come with shadows trailing
paving the path to dawn
The willow whispers soft
with its long, slender boughs
and the wild mountains
raise their stony brows
Who will come—from where—?
In her dream she wanders
silver skin silver hair
dream of the endless sky

Companion can I trade
my shadow for your light
darkness for your gleam
night for your radiance
Companion I come weary
from the paths of sorrow
If I could dear friend
the exchange would be made
But I am bound to night
my light is not mine
Companion let me rest
beneath your serene glow
A bed of stars if you please
cloaked in lunar mist
Don't you see the mark
from my soul to my heart
Three hundred soft sighs
on your silent beams
Dreams drift and whisper
in the cool night air
But I am bound to night
my light is not mine
Let me rise up high
to the silver terrace
Let me rise let me
to the moonlit terrace
Balcony of starlight
and the quiet waters

Two dreamers climb
to the high terrace
leaving trails of whispers
and trails of silence
Tin lanterns flickered
on the moonlit roofs
A thousand crystal echoes
shattered the dawn

Silver I want you silver
Silver light silver sky
The two dreamers climbed
The soft wind in their breath
left a strange taste
of dreams night and light
Companion where is she
Where's your quiet girl
How often has she waited
How often will she wait
soft face and silver hair
on the moonlit terrace

Over the mirror of the lake
the moon goddess swayed
Silver skin silver hair
eyes of pale moonstone
A moonbeam cradle holds her
high above the water
The night was as silent
as a hidden cove
Dreaming stars above
watched her gentle rest
Silver I want you silver
Silver light silver sky
Chariot on the stars and
mist on the mountain high
