"How Swara? How are you quiet even after knowing that I made you sign on the divorce papers. How can you pretend like nothing happened? Why did you never question me?"
Sanskar looked at Swara in his arms, her eyes only held hurt. She remained silent and he only grew restless. She slowly got out of his grip and looked away, "You.. you kind of just confirmed to me right now that you did it. I did not always know it".
Sanskar looked at her confused, "I saw the messages from the lawyer Swara. You had asked him to prepare a stupid contract, that's a discussion for later!"
Swara looked at him hearing it, he was clearly angry about the contract which states that he can divorce her at anytime he want but she can never divorce him. "You left your phone at the car. I saw that he was sending messages, he told me there are some delays and you will receive the contract in four more days. I read the previous messages to know what was the contract and realized he had already told you that.."
Sanskar frowned looking at her just being quiet. His lawyer had already asked Swara why she was making a contract like this when Sanskar had just divorced her. The lawyer had already confessed to her that Sanskar was the one who applied for divorce and he then submitted the papers with both their signatures. He also saw Swara's reply for it, she simply avoided his personal question and politely asked him to help her with the contract. All of these messages had happened the day Swara kidnapped him and yet she was so happy with him in the farmhouse as if nothing happened.
"My lawyer told you I applied for the divorce Swara!" he saw her gulping her tears as she replied in shaking voice. "I just ignored it, I did not know whether he was saying the truth or not. I thought of just letting this issue go, I did not want to find anymore how our divorce happened".
Sanskar was shocked at her confession, he cupped her cheeks to make her look at him but she immediately hugged him to not look in his eyes. "Sanskar, it's fine. Its really fine!" she stammered and held him tightly, "Please I don't want to talk about it".
"But you should know Swara! The lawyer wasn't lying.."
"That's okay!" she whispered in his embrace. "You applied for divorce, okay fine. It is over now, I don't want to talk about it!"
And that was the moment Sanskar realized how much they both have changed. He saw her talking to Ragini that they would go back in one week and he had already jumped to the conclusion that he was just her mission. He didn't ask her why she said it, he didn't ask her anything and had already thought of punishing her. The old Sanskar would have never doubted her, he would have asked her what did she mean by it instead of just blindly doubting her.
Swara on the other hand landed on such a big information that he was the one who applied for divorce and she simply let it go. The old Swara would have got to the root of it, she would have been mad at him. But here she is simply accepting everything he does. She refused to believe he could go wrong and even when he confessed the truth she is not interested to talk about it.
He was too scared to trust her and she was too scared to doubt him.
"Will you not ask me how I got your signatures? Will you not ask me why I lied to you that you sent the divorce? I even asked you to prove it Swara!"
He tried breaking the hug but she just sobbed holding him tightly, "It was to punish you!" he whispered and stopped trying to break the hug. He hugged her back and patted her head to stop her cries. "Do you remember we signed some papers for Laksh's case? Those papers also had our divorce papers. I asked you to prove knowing that you can never prove yourself".
