As Tanjiro defends Nezuko against Sanemi and tries to explain how Nezuko is not like the other demons, his unwavering determination becomes clear to everyone present. After the confrontation, they take him to the Butterfly Mansion for treatment.
Once Tanjiro is taken to the Butterfly Mansion, the Hashira meeting continues once the meeting is over. Everyone leaves, leaving me and Mitsuri alone.
"What an interesting boy," I say, glancing at Mitsuri with a curious expression.
"Yeah, how strange, but he's cute," she replies with a bright smile. I just jokingly roll my eyes.
"What are you gonna do now?" I ask.
"I think I'm gonna go home," Mitsuri says as she turns and starts walking.
"Wait," I call out, starting to run towards her, but I accidentally run into someone.
"My my, you're so clumsy, Natsuki," Mitsuri says, turning back to see me and the person I bumped into lying on the floor. I slowly get up, not realizing who I bumped into.
Before i could say anything, I freeze as the person looks at me. I was trying to speak, but Muichiro's calm eyes met mine, making it even harder to do or say anything.
Muichiro gently smiles. My face slowly turns a bit red, I quickly turn away, hurrying to catch up with Mitsuri, leaving Muichiro standing there, looking puzzled.
"Natsuki, he's definitely gonna know you like him," Mitsuri teases, poking me playfully in the side.
"What? I don't even like him. It was just awkward," I protest.
"Yeah, sure. Anyway, I'm gonna go home." Mitsuri says.
"Oh, I'll see you around then," I say.
"Don't you want to come hang out with me?" Mitsuri asks, giving me puppy eyes.
"I have things to do," I say as I turn to walk in the opposite direction.
"Oh, what's wrong, you've become distant," Mitsuri says softly.
"Nothing," I say as I walk away.
On my way home, my mind trails off, making me think about what Mitsuri said about Muichiro. "I don't like Muichiro. The most important thing is to get rid of demons." My thoughts are interrupted as I nearly walk into an old lady struggling to move her things into her shop. I quickly step forward to help her.
"Thank you, dear," she says with a grateful smile.
"You're welcome," I reply, giving her a nod before continuing on my way. Once I'm alone again, my mind drifts back to Muichiro. His gentle smile, the way his eyes get caught in mine."No, focus, Natsuki," I scold myself. "There are more important things to worry about than someone I barely even know Mitsuri likes doing this first with Giyu now Muichiro its the same story,"
Third person pov
As Natsuki reaches home, she finds her crow waiting to deliver a message from the Demon Slayer Corps. It's an urgent summon for her.
A powerful demon has been causing havoc in a nearby village.
Arriving at the meeting point, Natsuki is surprised to see Muichiro already there, looking focused and ready. Their eyes meet briefly, and she quickly looks away.
"Why is Muichiro here? I hope we won'tbe working together. Mitsuri will get the wrong impression, and everyone will hear about that," she says, letting out a nervous sigh.
