I was going crazy! Then, I thought of a slight change in my plan. I would leave next year itself! Who cares about even being eighteen?! Uhh I guess, I will just have to live illegally, till' I'm actually eighteen? Ehh no problem, I will just create a fake ID, if I have some spare money left. Plus, no way in the world, am I going to live for three more years with those psychos!

If I'll need a fake ID, then so be it! I would just have to work extra hours and steal more than fifty cents a week! I was done with being a scared little girl! I started getting desperate for more money because now that I think about it, I will need furniture, food, clothes and basic things to survive in my new home after I run away!

In the night, on my way back home from work, I came across an open drug store. (In case you're wondering, shops in this town are open till' 3 AM.) It rung a bell in my head. I bought sleeping pills to put in their food so they sleep earlier, so, I can work longer hours for more for more money without them knowing! (A nickname aunt Agnes, Harriett and Heather )

Once I started doing this, They started sleeping early, at 10 PM, which gave me two extra hours to work! ( I worked from 10 PM to 1 AM.) I was strictly told to massage their crusty feet, while they slept! Obviously I stopped doing that because they were sleeping, snoring like pigs in their deep sleep and they wouldn't know whether I  was there or not.

I took up two more jobs, tailoring, for fifteen dollars an hour and selling fish, at a fish market for 5 dollars per, fish sold. Day by day, the money increased. I know that they are really lame jobs but in a small town like this, you get hired based on your looks. I wore Harriett and Heather's dirty, old hand-me-down clothes, I looked skinny because I was not well fed and I had scratch marks and scars, of all the beatings aunt Agnes had given me.

Narration:

One day, when Catherine came back from work, from the shed window, she saw a girl holding something shiny, which she hid in the bush near her. That girl had been there every night doing that same thing, exactly when Catherine looked out the window at night for fresh air. It was almost as if, the girl wanted Catherine to know, she had been. Catherine went out to confront her but, when she opened the front door, the girl vanished. "strange girl" said Catherine.

The next morning, Catherine woke up, the first thing she thought of, was the girl from last night. Immediately, she went to the bush and saw a whole pile of cash and coins! "oh the next time I see that girl, I will thank her all night!" Said Catherine. But why did that mysterious girl, leave so much money there in that bush? Let's find out.

Catherine's POV:

That night, when I saw that girl, I didn't let her see me. I crouched down and tiptoed to the front door, where I chased that girl, till' I got her.
