After they ate dinner, they continued their conversation.

"So Tsubaki, shouldn't you contact your family? They must be worried about you, especially with that dragon carrying you over here. Oh gosh, wait. Are you friends with that dragon?" Bulma bombarded Tsubaki with questions.

"Haha. Yes, the dragon is my friend. His name is Ikki. And no. I do not have any relatives, at least, not here." Tsubaki answered.

"Oh. I'm sorry." Bulma regretted asking about her family.

"It's completely fine, Bulma! I'm quite happy living on my own. Besides, I have many friends to keep my company!" Tsubaki assured the two. "Besides, I have the two of you now. I can't possibly complain!"

"Aw. You're a sweetheart." Bulma managed to smile at Tsubaki's comment.

I wonder why Trunks isn't speaking to me. Tsubaki looked over at Trunks, to find him staring at her. Huh? Once Tsubaki's eyes met Trunks's, his immediately looked away to the ground. Hm. That's odd.

"Dear Tsubaki. I feel like I can put my complete trust in you already. I feel like I can tell you anything." Bulma remarked.

"Mother..." Trunks warned.

"She deserves to know! Besides, she doesn't have a family and will be staying with us, so she might as well know!" Bulma retorted.

"Whatever you feel that is best... But we barely even know her!" Trunks argued.

"Come on. Lighten up Trunksies (oh yes I did :P)! She doesn't have anyone to tell anyways. Besides, everyone on this planet should be able to know, since we all are terrorized by the androids!" Bulma tried to reason with her son. The tea kettle started whistling. "Ohh! The tea is ready! Let me go make it for you guys. Be right back!" Bulma said as she left the room.

Trunks looked down at the ground. The tension and the silence in the air was unbearable.

Breaking the silence, Trunks said, "I have a question."

"Hm? Ask away!"

"I can't sense your energy. Why is that?"

"Hm?"

"I know that it sounds crazy, but I'm a half-Saiyan. Or an alien. My father was the prince of Saiyans. They were a warrior race. My mentor Gohan was also a half-Saiyan. We can sense people's energy. The only time that we can't sense a person's energy is if the person is dead, artificial like the androids, or concealing it to blend in with things around it. But I can't sense your energy at all."

Oh. So that was why he was so quiet this entire time. I have no choice then. I can't get out of this. "It's because I'm not a normal human."

"What?"

"I'm sorry. But I think that's all that I can tell you."

"What? Why?! I just told you that I am part alien!"

"Well. Trust me. If I could tell you, I would."

"Hey guys! I brought the tea! Sorry it took so long. I was trying to find the tea leaves." Bulma said while walking into the room.

"Mother, may I speak to you outside?" Trunks asked with a serious face. The two walked out of the room.

"Tsubaki is hiding something. She's not a normal human. I can't sense her energy."

"Perhaps it's because she's sick and weak."

"But even then, I would still sense something faint."

"Hm. I'll ask her. You probably intimidated her, Trunks. You get that from your father." Bulma snickered leaving Trunks astonished.

Maybe if I just told them that I'm a Saiyan as well, they would let it slide? I mean, it wouldn't be lying.

Trunks and Bulma walked into the room. "Trunks. Do you actually believe that you and Gohan were the only living Saiyans?" Tsubaki asked with a fire in her eyes. Both Bulma's and Trunks's eyes widened in shock.
