Chapter 6: You Are The Reason

Hey guys~! ^_^ This chapter is going to be in Trunks's point of view, more specifically, his dreams. Let's get started!!!

Just a fun fact, I listen to piano music while writing these. XD I simply love the sound of the piano.

Trunks's P.O.V.

How is she so beautiful? I'm so happy that she's staying with us. But I have a feeling that being a Saiyan wasn't the only thing that she's hiding from us. I guess we'll learn more about her in time.

I got settled on the couch. My mother walked over and handed me a pillow and a blanket. "Thanks mom."

"No problem!" she gave me a quick smile and went to bed.

I was lying on the couch when I heard shuffling in Tsubaki's bedroom. I quickly tiptoed to her room, trying not to wake Mom up. As I walked into Tsubaki's room, I saw her twisting and turning in the bed. I guess she's having a nightmare. I approached her and placed my hand on her forehead. She's burning up! I ran to the bathroom to get a wet towel and ran back to her. I folded the towel and placed it on her forehead. She seemed to have calmed down and stopped turning in her sleep. I went back to the couch to go to sleep.

Dream 1:

I heard rain. Why?

Then I heard Gohan. My eyes flew open.

Gohan was being killed in the rain by Android 17 and Android 18.

"Hey!! Get away from him!" I yelled and tried to send a ki blast toward them. However, no energy blasts came out from my palm. Frustrated, I flew in to try to punch them. My fist went through Android 17's face. "No!" I cried after seeing the two strike down my mentor. Then they shot energy blasts at him, ultimately finishing him while Gohan screamed in pain.

The two monsters left Gohan lying on the ground.

"He's done." 18 said with a smirk on her face. The two flew away.

I screamed in agony as I saw Gohan's lifeless body.

It's all my fault.

I woke up with cold sweat running down the back of my neck. That was a terrifying nightmare.

I decided to check on Tsubaki again. The entire room was a mess. The blankets were all over the floor. Her pillow was on the floor next to her bed. I saw her curled up on the bed, shivering. I put the towel away. I picked up her pillow and placed her head upon it. Then I picked up both blankets and pulled them over her. She then stopped shivering. A small smile appeared on her face. She's so beautiful. One day, I want to be the reason for her smile.

I returned back to the couch. Pulled the blanket over myself and fell back to sleep.

Dream 2:

It was pitch black.

Nothing was happening.

I heard a piercing scream.

Tsubaki!

My eyes flew open and I threw my head forwards. I ran to Tsubaki's room to find her peacefully sleeping in the bed. I sighed in relief. And plopped down back on the couch.

Dream 3:

It was raining again. No. Not again. No.

I hesitantly open my eyes to blue, lifeless eyes once again. I flinched. I saw whose face it was. It was not 17 nor 18. It was Tsubaki.

I screamed. "Get away from me! What happened to you?!" She simply gave me an evil grin and slowly walked towards me.

I flew away to another town. Only to find her the same distance from me, slowly approaching me with her menacing smile. I couldn't move. She finally reached me. Her face was a few inches away from mine. Then blood dripped out of her eyes and her toothy grin. Soon, the blood streamed out. I just watched in terror.

I jumped off of the couch to check on Tsubaki once again. Thank goodness she was fine. I was so tired that I just plopped my face in the pillow and fell asleep on the couch.

Dream 4:

I opened my eyes quickly. I did not want another nightmare. I was surprised to see someone looking up at me. It was Tsubaki. She was in my arms. I was carrying her. What am I doing? She looked so happy.

A wave of bliss washed over me as I twirled her around and heard her laugh. Then I threw her in the air and caught her once again.

She then said something to me. For some reason, I couldn't hear her.

She mouthed: You are the reason that I smile.
