"Brihannala! Come here with Prasad, my sister!", Krishna, in a cow herd disguise, called Arjun. Vaishnavi was sitting in the charioteer seat, so that they could escape as soon as they came out. "Here's my call. I'll go then!", Arjun said to her and got off the chariot. "Arjun!!', she called him, making him turn to her. "Be careful", she said, making him smile. But by the time he could reply, she continued, "with my earring!! I don't want to lose it again", she said in a stern voice. He just laughed at how impossible she was and left the place, making her chuckle as well. She leaned on to the chariot with one hand on the back of her head and another on her chest.
'Ahhh! This feels good. I love this feeling! But what is it though? Am I falling for him? No No it's just a silly crush. Is it tho? Ughhsjsjs i don't understand! But I don't want an answer either. This unanswered question feels just surreal'
Smiling, She just covered her face with her hands. As she was thinking about all this, a loud bell was heard. She immediately got alerted and was ready in position. Arjun, now with his disguise partially dissolved, came running with an extremely gorgeous woman. They boarded the chariot and Arjun said, "Vaishnavi, go!". She started riding the chariot, but the enemies were chasing them behind. Arjun was blasting them off with his bow, and the woman strongly held on to the chariot to not to fall off. The whole thing looked like it was straight out of a movie scene.
'Damn! It's been so long since I've experienced this'
More and more enemies started to swarm up, but all of a sudden, a golden glowing mace came from the sky and crashed almost everyone. Every looked up to see who it was. A chiseled guy was defeating everyone single handedly. "Balram Dau!!!", Vaishnavi exclaimed enthusiastically. "That is Shreeman Balram?", Arjun asked her. She just rolled her eyes at his obliviousness and replied sarcastically, "No. That is his Grandfather. Didn't you hear me calling him like a minute ago", and shook her head. "I was just shocked that I'm seeing him for the first time, ok? It doesn't mean that I didn't catch that. And that was not a question by the way", Arjun retorted back. "Whatever", she said, and was about to speak further, but the goddess looking Lady interrupted and said, "Guys, I would love to hear you cute couple bantering all day! But I don't think this is the right time".
She stopped the chariot and looked at the lady with her eyes wide open, while he did the same. They both were nothing short of a blushing mess. "We are not a couple", both said at the same time and looked at each other. "Oh! My bad. Why did you stop the Chariot Devi?", the lady asked. "We arrived at the temple where Kanha told me to drop you, Princess Rukmini!".
She smiled happily and got down off the chariot. "Where is he?", she asked impatiently. Vaishnavi just chuckled at that. She put her hands on Rukmini's shoulders and said, "He will come. Don't worry! You please go inside. I will take care here outside", while Rukmini nodded at her with teary eyes. She was gonna see Krishna for the first time. She went inside happily, while Arjun came near Vaishnavi and said, "Don't feel embarrassed about what she said. About us being- us being...". She looked at him, smiled and said, "About us being? Us being what Arjun? Go on". He just smiled at that which she returned back.
Suddenly an arrow came towards her, which was caught by him. They both looked at the direction to see Rukmi, elder brother of Rukmini standing there.
'This Bastard. As much as I was excited about Rukmini haran, I knew I would have to encounter this dude'
Before he could strike another arrow, Arjun tackled him and Balram also joined him soon. Vaishnavi wanted to join them too but she has to go inform Krishna regarding this. As she was going inside temple, she saw that he himself is coming out and going towards Rukmi with a mad expression. She felt shivers run down her spine, looking at the supreme god who is extremely angry.
'Damn! I've never seen him getting this mad. Good god!'
She looked at Arjun, who held the same expression as hers. As Krishna was about to kill him, Rukmini stopped him by saying, "Please Swami! Don't kill my brother". Krishna's eyes softened by looking at her. He nodded at her and looked back at him with stern eyes.
"I would not kill you for my love. But I definitely would make you feel like you wish you were dead". Rukmi looked at him with terror filling his eyes.
***
The celebration in Dwaraka knew no bounds, as the kingdom welcomed the to be wife of their beloved Shyam. They left that place as soon as Krishna shaved Rukmi's head. Shaving one's head is as equal to killing them. Devaki and Vasudev welcomed their new daughter in law into their kingdom with a lot of happiness. As the kingdom was getting ready for the great grand wedding of the divinely couple, Vaishnavi was sitting on the shores of the sea, enjoying the festive vibes. The sea was consuming sun back into itself in the evening hours.
"I didn't know you knew how to ride a chariot!", Arjun said coming towards her, and sat down beside her. She just softly smiled at him and said, "Oh you don't know me. I know many things", she said proudly. "Yeah?", he asked smilingly. She just nodded smirking. They both burst into a big smile at that.
He always loved how her nose scrunches whenever she smiles or laughs. "Oh yeah! Forgot to ask you! What was that golden glow that came out of your fists when you fought Kalyavan?", Arjun asked curiously.
"Hmm? What golden glow?"
