Tuesday 4:30/Sandlot/Addys POV:

I came to the Sandlot a little late and when I walked through the gate all the guys looked over at me. My expression wasn't the usual calm, it was filled with anger and frustration.

"Everybody in the dugout." I said loud enough for them all to hear and I walked to the dugout and I waited for them all to get there. Benny walked in last and stood beside me like he usually does.
"Sit." I commanded him to sit with the rest of them.
He hesitated for a moment then sat on the bench.
I looked at all of them like a scolding mother. I had my arms crossed and I leaned against the wall. They all looked at me confused as to why they were in here and not playing ball.

"So who's gonna speak up and tell me the truth?" I looked at all of them, they all looked as if they were hiding something but none of them said anything. Benny couldn't even look me in the eye.

I reached into my back pocket and pulled out Bennys cap. He noticed and looked up at me guiltily. I looked back down at him as I continued to hold it.
"How bout now?" I looked back at the rest of the boys who sat looking guilty as well.

"I told you she'd find out dude." Bertram said and elbowed Benny who rubbed his arm in response.
"Find out what exactly, Bertram?" I leaned down slitghky and got in his face. He looked nervous and he was sweating, not just from the heat.
He continued to stay quiet but I held my ground and held eye contact, he'd pop at some point. And he did.

"We messed up their field. I told Benny it was a bad idea and we shouldn't do it!" He confessed.
I finally backed away from him and leaned back on the wall and glared over to Benny who was clearly mad that he was ratted out.
All of a sudden they all started talking over each other trying to explain themselves to me.

"Everybody shut up!" I yelled and got them to stop talking.
I looked over at Benny. "Why would you do that?" I said and threw his hat at him which landed in his lap.
He stayed silent for a moment and looked back at the guys then back at me. "They keep messing with us, it's only fair." He crossed his arms and leaned back on the bench.
"Did they destroy the sandlot?" I asked him.
"No, but-" I cut him off, that's all I needed to hear.
"So why would you destroy their field?!" I questioned him. He stood up and he was only a foot away from me. He turned to the rest of the guys and told them to get out which they did quickly.
I glared up at him waiting for an explanation.
"There's a lot of shit that goes on that you don't know about." He points to me and gets in my face. "So stay out of next time." He held eye contact with me.
"No." I responded and kept my arms crossed as I glared up at him as well. "Cause there won't be a next time. Why can't you guys just leave each  other alone?" I continued which made him angrier.
"You don't get it." His voice lowers.
"You're right, I don't." I responded with the same tone and look he gave me.
"Pick a side." He said before leaving the dugout with his bat.

Addys house/7pm/DeNunez POV:

I climbed up to her window after I got back from the Sandlot. She left after having the conversation with Benny in the dugout.

I knocked on it a few times before she came and saw it was me. She looked a little relieved, probably that it was me and not Benny. She stood to the side and let me in, closing the window behind me.

"What's going on with you and Benny?" I asked and plopped onto her bed.
"He keeps telling me to 'Pick a side'" She mocks him and puts up air quotes with her fingers.
"He's acting like i'm all buddy buddy with Phillips or something" She crossed her arms and looks down at me and i meet her eyes.

God, her eyes were beautiful. She was beautiful. Benny needs to be grateful for what he's got. I took a deep breath and looked up at the ceiling.

"Well...he is your ex, Benny is probably jealous or something." I grab a stress ball from her desk and throw it up and down. "And he thinks that you keep defending Philips when in reality you just don't like conflict and confrontation so you try to resolve the situation your own way which is different from our way because our way is just beaten people up." I blurt out.

"You know more about me then I do." She groaned and I laughed at her reaction.

I try to help her out as much as I can about any situation she has. if i'm being honest, I had a thing for her, we pretty much all did. Benny was just the one who got to her first. I'd never hurt Benny, i'd never try anything with her.
