𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 dawn when the five had gone to the front of the train, sitting down in two separate booths. Annabeth, Percy and Grover were sitting in their own, talking about random things while Rory and Clarisse sat in their own, Rory asleep and Clarisse just looking at her. After last night, Clarisse and Rory were on better terms. Yes, Rory was still slightly avoiding her, but she would still talk to the girl. Clarisse understood, talking to her when needed and whenever she started talking to her.
Things with Percy were different. Rory hardly even looked at him, not speaking a word to him and having Clarisse ask her questions to him. It was killing the blonde boy. He knew he messed up but he didn't want to give Rory false hope, even though that was the thing that Grover possibly gave him.
Clarisse was sitting on the booth that was closest to Percy, per Rory's request, either looking out the window at the sunrise or Rory dead asleep with her head on the table. She had a lot to think about since the quest started. Her feelings, her gods awful relationship with Ares, what Luke's so called important conversation he wanted with Rory was about, and Rory.
Rory was something completely different to think about. Clarisse had never had interest in someone like what she does for Rory. Yeah, maybe she felt something for Chris Rodriguez about two years ago and had a brief, and highlight and capitalize the word brief, crush on Selena when she first arrived at camp. But things were different with Rory, she just couldn't pinpoint how and where it was different.
Clarisse got a little too deep into her thoughts, not even realizing that she had kept looking at Rory, and Rory had woken up. "Reese?" Rory had spoken, waving her hand over Clarisse's eyes.
Clarisse blinked, then looked down as she rubbed her eyes, slightly confused. "Yeah?" she asked, looking at Rory again.
"You okay? You sorta zoned out or something." Rory said, slight worry laced in her voice as she looked at the La Rue girl.
"Yeah, I'm okay." Clarisse nodded, sending her a reassuring smile before a transit officer came up to their booths.
"Excuse me. Can I see your tickets, please?" The officer asked, Clarisse quick to inform him that the three kids next to them were with them. Rory took out the tickets, showing them to the officer before he looked at Rory through his eyebrows. "You're in Cabin 17B?" he asked.
"Yes, why?" Rory asked, the officer just looking her and then the ticket, which slightly made her uncomfortable, before he gave them back to her.
"Come with me. All of you." He replied, walking away with the five trailing behind him, Clarisse and Rory making eye contact in confusion.
As they walked to their cabin, Clarisse was practically red from the many times their fingers had brushed against each other. Rory was slightly dying inside that she had just crossed her arms across her chest, which Clarisse had maybe tooken the wrong way.
When they had arrived at their cabin, it was completely trashed with the window broken and things flying everywhere.
"What the..." Rory trailed off as Annabeth, Percy, and Grover looked inside as well, confused too.
"You wanna explain?" The transit officer asked, Rory having to practically drag Clarisse to the back of the five because of the things she might say to the officer.
"Wait. Wait, you think we did this?" Percy asked, the transit officer looking at them in a duh expression.
"Did you?" He asked again, Clarisse ready to snap at him but Rory pinched her, the stronger girl wincing as Rory looked at the officer.
