(Imagine Ethan as whoever you want)

DANTE was sprawled lazily across the couch, his headphones enveloping his ears in a cocoon of sound as his parents' argument filled the background. With a resigned sigh, he reached for his phone, cranking the volume up in a futile attempt to drown out the discordant din.

"You never have time!" His mom's voice erupted, a sharp needle of accusation in the air. Dante winced, a pang of empathetic irritation coloring his expression.

Dante glanced to his parents before storming to the kitchen. Dante's gaze drifted to his parents, engaged in their perpetual squabble. With a huff of frustration, he grabbed his bookbag and leaned against the kitchen counter. As the coffee machine signaled its completion, he called out, "Coffee's ready!" but was met with indifference, as the argument continued.

A sly idea slithered into his mind, a small act of rebellion brewing within. His eyes fixated on the sugar jar, and then the salt jar, mischief dancing in his gaze. He swapped the contents of the jars with a swift precision, a devilish smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

As Dante's parents began heading towards the kitchen, they were too preoccupied with their coffee to notice his stealthy maneuver. He quickly placed the salt jar back in its usual spot. "I'm heading to school!" he announced, a nonchalant tone in his voice.

His dad called out as he sipped his coffee, only to immediately spit it back out. "DANTE! Get back here!" Dante seized the moment, slipping out the door and hopping on his bike. As he rode away, he caught his mother's scolding voice, "You're the reason he's like this!"

Dante snickered as the wind blew his hair in his face slightly, he continued pedaling to school. He looked at all the buildings and nature as he continued riding, he smiled as the music's flow entered his mind.

He never thought that he'd have the friends he has now and he finally accepted a change. He always thought he'd be the boy with anxeity and terrible parents, he always struggled in Italy but now he found his home.

Well...he almost found home, some of the kids at Royal Woods Middle weren't the nicest to him. Some boys would push and shove him but Dante didn't really mind it, he was never bothered by being bullied, he was used to it.

As he continued to pedal, a hand pushed him down. He fell off his bike and faceplanted onto the concrete, "Ow..." He muttered, holding his nose. He pushed himself off the ground to see himself standing face to face with a boy. It was Ethan. The boy who has given hell ever since he moved to Royal Woods.

"Hey Teddy." Ethan gave a knowing smirk, his friends were snickering behind him.

"What do you want, Ethan?" Dante sneered as he picked his bike up, Ethan instantly shoved Dante back down. "To do what I alway do." The bully snickered, kicking Dante in the stomach. A groan left Dante's mouth as he felt the pain on his stomach.

"You know, maybe you should just go back home." Ethan retorted as Dante got back up, "You're such a dick." Dante replied, only to get a punch in the face in response. Ethan's fist smashed into Dante's face again, giving him a bruised cheek. Then for the third time was a bloody nose, then a familiar voice was heard, "Hey!"

Dante looked over to see Luke running over, "What's your problem, Ethan!?" Luke asked, helping Dante off the ground.

"W-well, I was just uh.." Ethan stuttered as he couldn't think of an excuse. Luke only rolled his eyes in response, "If I see you hurt him again, you'll be in trouble." Luke threatened before walking away with Dante.

"Are you okay?" Luke looked at Dante injuries with concern, "Y-yeah...this is normal." Luke looked even more worried, "Normal? This has happened before."
