Chapter 22 | Boss

"Oh, you are finally hom-" Catalina opens the door. "What the hell are you wearing?!"

"Yeah, about that..." I grind my teeth, looking at her nervously, reading her face. "Catalina, look..."

"Damn! What happened girl?"

"What?"

"Come on inside, girl!"

"Spill it girl, spill it!" She squeaks with excitement.

"Spill what exactly?"

"Girl stop-" She rolls her eyes.

"Tell me what happened last night!"

"Uhm..." I try to expand the time to have a quick flashback, finding flaws in it and maybe make up something because I can't tell her the whole thing! It sounds crazy!

I tell her about the post, meeting Keith at the club and running into Damon.

I then tell her we kissed.

"Girl, I never thought you would be this fucking wild." She gapes.

"Care to explain why my clothes are gone and now what the hell are you wearing?" She puts on a toothy grin.

"Well, we kind of tore each other's clothes apart, but we were so tired we fell asleep." I look at her innocently. "And this is newly bought in substitution."

"Erm..." She narrows her eyes at me, looking at me like I'm crazy.

"And you know I just met his girlfriend this morning..." I pout sadly, changing topic quickly so she doesn't question how stupid that story sounds.

"What the f-" She cusses.

"Wow, these guys are such jerks, first Keith and now him." She drops her jaw with dander.

"Girl, I'm really sorry." She comforts me.

"Yeah..." I shrug. "Anyway..."

"Tell me about your work. How was it?" I ask about her new part-time job.

Her eyes suddenly brighten up at my question as if it has hit the right topic.

"Oh it was really good!"

"Why so?"

"I got to meet the boss!"

"Okay?" I cling my brows together.

"No no you don't get it."

"The boss is like a very successful business man who owns multiple companies and businesses, so he's likely to be extremely busy going here and there all the time." She steers her eyes to the left, beaming as she speaks engrossingly.

"Most of his employees have never met him in real life before and then I got to meet him on the first day at work so it's something crazy you know!" She flutters her eyes back to mine.

"Not to mention, he's really hot!"

"Oh, I see!" I laugh.

"He even complimented my work when I was cleaning the table, girl everyone was jealous of me!" She giggles.

"Wow you are lucky! Being noticed by a very rich, handsome CEO!" I clench my palms into fists and shake them in the air with joy.

"I wish it was real." She purses her lips.

"What do you mean?"

"Minutes later he walked in with another woman."

"Oh..."
