"Did the higher-ups reach out to you, Kaori?" Her adoptive father asked her as she emerged from the shadows.
Sitting down next to the mountains of dolls he made, she placed her katana down on her left. "They did. Ordered me to execute the boy. Even payed me millions of yen just to do it." She muttered, taking one of the dolls into her hand.
"You're response?" Her adoptive father asked her. "I refused." She answered shortly, glancing at him from the side of her eye.
"Why?" He asked, making another doll. "I have my reasons." She shortly muttered.
"Is it because Gojo asked you to?" He said, more than asked.
She stayed silent for a few seconds before shrugging.
ten minutes later, Gojo, along with the pink-haired boy, who she learned was named Itadori Yuji, walked in.
"You're late, Satoru." The principal said. "You're eight minutes late." The principal sternly said.
Itadori quietly gasped, seeing what the principal was making. "This old man's making cute dolls?!" He thought.
"Not enough to chastise you for, but I remember telling you to fix your tardiness." The principal continued.
"If it's not enough to chastise me for, then please don't do so. You're just making dolls anyways, can't you wait for a few minutes?" Gojo said with a mischievous smirk.
"He's the principal, Masamichi Yaga." Gojo told Itadori. "And that's Kaori Yaga." He continued, pointing at Kaori, who irked and threw a doll at him, only for it to be stopped by his infinity.
"I told you to stop pointing your fingers at me, imbecile!" She muttered in annoyance.
"Is that him?" The principal asked, turning his head to Itadori.
"My name is Itadori Yuji! I'm into girls like Jennifer Lawrence! It's a pleasure to meet you." Itadori said, bowing respectfully before standing up straight.
"Girls like.. Jennifer Lawrence?" The black-haired woman thought, irking. "How peculiar" she thought to herself.
"Why are you here?" The principal asked him.
"for the interview." Itadori answered.
"I'm asking why you're in Jujutsu High school." The principal repeated.
"To learn about curses?" Itadori answered, tilting his head in confusion. "How dim-witted." The only female in the room thought to herself.
"I mean after that. After learning about curses and have the power to exorcise them, what are you going to do?" The principal clarified his question.
"I want to take back Sukuna's fingers. It would be dangerous to just leave them there." Itadori answered, making the female internally sigh.
"Why?" She asked, making Itadori turn his head to look at her.
"Crimes, accidents, and diseases. It's natural to hear people you don't know die everyday." She continued. "It's beginning." Gojo thought to himself, smirking.
"So if it's cursed related, you find the need to intervene?" She asked. "It's someone's last request. Who cares about the details? I just want to save people." Itadori answered.
"Last request? So you're going to fight curses just because people told you to?" She asked, crossing her arms across her chest.
"You failed." She stated.
"That's not a doll?!" Itadori let out when one of the principal's cursed dolls stood up.
"It's a cursed corpse. They're dolls with my curse in it!" The principal said, controlling the doll, launching a punch to Itadori, who placed his bag Infront of his face, blocking the cursed corpses attack.
"What a heavy punch." Itadori inwardly thought, grunting as he was sent flying to the wall.
"Human nature sacrifices during desperate situations. I'll keep attacking you until I hear the answer I want." The older Yaga said.
"In the first place, it wasn't just anyone's last request! It came from a family member!" Itadori said, his eyes darting around to look for the hiding doll. "Damn, where is it?" He thought to himself.
The curse bounced from the wall, to his face, making him grunt and fly back, hitting a wall.
"Even family members are considered as "someone else"" said the female Yaga as the curse danced around and posed.
"Right.. it's a doll, so it doesn't get hurt or scared." Itadori thought. "A jujutsu sorcerer is always dealing with death. Not just your own death. There are times where you have to tear apart the flesh of a curse. while the dead are barely out of your field of vision. It's an unpleasant job." The older Yaga continued.
The female Yaga stood up and waved dismissively when her adoptive parent turned to her as she walked into the shadows, disappearing.
"He'll pass. Besides, once Gojo makes up his mind, there's really no way to change it." She thought to herself as she let the shadows pull her body in, teleporting back to her apartment.
She blinked when she noticed the television was open. She raised an eyebrow and took off her tie, walking to the couch to see a familiar blond sitting with his glasses off.
"Kento. What are you doing here?" She asked, placing her tie on the coffee table as she sat down next to him.
"Just wanted to stop by." The blond replied stoically. "I heard Gojo dragged you to one of his missions again." He continued.
She hummed and leaned her head back on the couch. "Not really a mission.." she mumbled.
"So, a date?" He asked, making her irk. "Not a date either!" She muttered.
"A boy decided to have Sukuna's finger as a snack." She grumbled, closing her eyes.
"A boy ate Sukuna's finger? Did he die?" He asked, hooking his hand behind her head, pulling her head to rest on his shoulder.
"Surprisingly, he lived." She answered, making him surprised.
"Is that so?" He muttered, resting his head on hers.
"Mhm. Now he's Sukuna's vessel." She muttered quietly, beginning to drift to sleep.
Noticing this, Nanami turned off the Television, pulling her into his lap, making her straddle him as he layed down on the couch, pulling her down to lay on top of him.
Gently brushing his fingers through her hair, he slowly fell asleep as well.
"Finally.. you're here" he thought longingly.
