I had been away visiting my family in Dunblane for the last few weeks, meaning I hadn't been able to see Rob. We Facetimed daily and texted almost all the time. I was finally going back to Dublin today, as much as I loved seeing my family, I missed Rob. Distance has become increasingly hard for me, especially during the pandemic. Yes not seeing him for 2 weeks compared to 6 months was nothing. But it was still difficult, In the back of my head I was convinced something would happen which would lead to me not seeing Rob for another 6 months.

I had finally landed at Dublin airport, after what felt like ages I got through security and was finally able to get home to rob. I called an Uber and was headed home. As I got closer to home, excitement crept through my body. I couldn't wait to see him, I had missed him so much it was probably unhealthy. Once I reached our house I thanked the Uber driver and practically sprinted into the house. "I'm home!" I shouted as I kicked off my shoes, abandoning my suitcase by the door. "kitchen" I heard Robert's voice, I made my way to the kitchen, only to be greeted by a blond rob. a brassy blond rob. "Robert, what have you done to your hair?" he turns round, looking prouder than ever. "do you like it?" he smiles, oh that poor thing. It suits him, don't get me wrong, but did he not think to tone it? "Baby, you look good but this is brassy. did you not get it toned?" I say as I run my fingers through his hair. A small frown creeps onto his face and a whisper of bewilderment dances in his eyes. "tone? What are you on about?" all I could do was look up at the poor boy, how can someone so smart be so silly. "love, your hair has orange undertones right now. It looks brassy. You need to tone it. I have purple shampoo upstairs that you can use. I don't need it anymore" I smile at him. "ohh so I should have asked for a bleach and tone!" he said, optimistically. "yeah you should have asked for a bleach and tone, like a bleach and tone," I say mocking Tana Mongeau "okay Tana," he says as he ruffles my hair while walking away.
