"Something is wrong with me. Since the day I was born I've been considered 'abnormal' to an average person. Whether it's a burden or a curse, it's something I inherited from my mother. Cold, remorseless, some would call it emotionless- that's who we both were, and it was something we both suffered from."
"I'd be lying if I said I didn't resent my 'condition.' When I was twelve, I met someone special who made me feel less cold, but the good stuff can never last forever... When we were torn apart, it only fueled my desire and obsession. I truly became lovesick."
"I craved freedom from my life, and it was handed to me on a silver platter. When I was thirteen war erupted between nations, and chaos reigned as civil wars broke out, seizing control. Within a year, many countries were either overwhelmed by rebellions or collapsed entirely. It was a complete circus..."
"My family dynamic fell apart when I was fourteen, which was... inconvenient but liberating. I was able to live on my own, but the collapse of my family was considered 'suspicious.' My mother was labeled as 'an insane woman' for the destruction of our entire house and disappearing without a trace, along with her supposedly dead beloved child..."
"But I wasn't dead; I was just in hiding, hiding from everything and everyone, but my mother's disappearance was more than 'suspicious'. It started with a fight, a huge one which ended up destroying the house and the manor. It was only a matter of time before one of us broke, and she was the first to crack."
"I spent two years trying to find my place in this lovely world, much of it searching for him, until..."
Cian's POV
In the once bustling city of Orisya now mostly reduced to ruins, the skyline painted grey like a rainy day when in reality it was just the smoke from the fires that burned from the buildings and forests. Among all the destruction though his black hair bright golden eyes made him standout and he was completely unbothered by the chaos in fact he was skipping down the pathway with a shiny smile on his face, every movement he made was coordinated he knew threats could be hiding in the shadows but a part of him didn't care he almost craved an attack, a sick and twisted longing for the fight.
As he skipped down the damaged, abandoned road, he came upon his tied up, blindfolded victim, struggling and making muffled noises while sitting on a chair with another chair in front of him. Morian halted, took his seat in the other chair, and removed the blindfold and gag from his unsuspecting victim.
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!-" The guy in the chair yelled out, stopping abruptly when he saw Cian. "How old are you...?"
"Sixteen, but my age isn't relevant. I want information about the front. You're a general after all..." Cian said with a cold smirk that put off the man. "That's confidential information. You can kill me!" the man responded with no emotion.
"It doesn't matter if it's confidential or not you'll die soon anyway." Cian said with the same cold smile
Cian cut the ties from the general's wrists and handed him a knife from his sheath. "You can avoid my questions, but you can't avoid a fight can you?" Cian said, pulling out two small knives from one of his sheaths and positioning himself in a left lead stance.
"I have no interest in fighting you, but I will if you leave me no choice!" the general said, picking up the knife and preparing for the fight. "Wow, how noble of you," Cian said with a slight giggle.
The general stood, knife in hand, his eyes narrowing as he sized up Cian. With a smirk, Cian twirled his two small knives, their blades catching the dim light.
"I may answer your question if you answer mine, so what's your name?" the general asked, right before initiating his strike.
The general struck first; a powerful thrust aimed at Cian's midsection. Cian sidestepped effortlessly, his right hand knife slicing a thin line across the general's arm.
