I've already started third wheeling them. "okay, what if I bring her out for ice-cream today ? Then are we good ?" I propose and his face lits up with happiness and excitement "don't get so excited I'm gonna tag along too, I don't trust you alone with her." I say "just accept the fact that you're coming just for the ice-cream" he states the facts. And we both form an alliance.
