The zoo

Natalie's POV

I just got back to my flat when I heard my phone ring. I got up off of my bed and went to go see who it was. It was Zayn!

"Hello?" I said. "Hey Nat! I need you to come over here." He sounded nervous. Hm, wonder why.

I got my purse and slipped on a pair of flip flops and headed out the door! I walked next door over to Zayn's and did my secret knock. He immediately opened the door and practically dragged me into his flat. "Omg Zayn that hurt!" I said examining my wrist. He was bouncing up and down and had a huge smile on his face. Weird...

"Do you wanna go on a date with me. To the zoo?" He asked me. OMG! I love the zoo. How could I resist? "Yes! Why are you asking though. Of course I want to go on a date with you, I'm your girlfriend. Duh." I smiled and ruffled his perfect hair.

We were both dressed for the zoo so we decided to just go ahead and go! I hopped in the passenger seat of Zayn's car and turned on the radio. And yes, of course... They were playing "Kiss You", how ironic.

It's a short drive to the zoo. Maybe fifteen minutes at the most. We listened to the radio the whole ride and he never let go of my hand. I'm so excited. The zoos my favorite place in the entire world!

When we got to the zoo Zayn tried to pay for the tickets, but I pushed his money aside and paid for it. "What are you doing?" He asked staring at me weirdly. "Paying. What else would I be doing?" I said laughing a little bit. "But I'm taking you on this date?" I decided to just shut up. But I still paid.

We walked around the zoo hand in hand the entire time. Everything felt so right. When we got to the elephants I started jumping up and down like a little kid. I love elephants! There were three of them. A family. The dads name was Mikey, the moms name was Cinderella, and the baby's name was Little Bubba. They were precious. Zayn let go of my hand and picked me up so I could see better. "Thank you!" I said staring at the elephants in amazement.

He grabbed my hand immediately after putting me down. He dragged me over behind the cage. But I didn't want to leave! "I want to go see the elephants!" I said and pouted at him. "Would you rather feed one and ride it?" My face lit up at the sound of those words. "Are we?" I practically screamed making us both get all excited. He didn't answer me but he kept taking me towards the back.

"Thank you so much Zayn!" I shouted as we were walking into the cage. "No problem love." They never let people in the cage and they've never done an elephant ride before and they are just for me and Zayn. How cool.

We started off by feeding them a couple of peanuts. Little Bubba is my favorite. He's so tiny and lovable, he rubs his trunk against your face and rubs against you like a cat who wants to cuddle. I kept looking over at Zayn and I couldn't stop smiling.

When it was finally time to ride the elephant they got a ladder and put it in front of Mikey. I climbed on right after Zayn and held onto his waist. "Thank you Zayn this is amazing!" I whispered into his ear. "No problem love." He said kissing me on the cheek.

Oh how I love that boy!
