The boy in the woods (2) - KTH

You felt dizzy as you opened your eyes. You looked around to see yourself in a familiar surrounding.

You were surrounded by trees as you laid on the ground. You got up and looked around to realize that you knew this place.

You thought and thought about it.

Finally ,you realized how the place was familiar to you.

It was the painting of the boy in the woods.

You were in a painting.

The last thing you remembered was something grabbing your hand and sucking you into the painting.

And the next moment,you were lying in the middle of a forest.

You walked a bit,not knowing where to go. After a few minutes, you reached an opening in the middle of the woods.

You saw a house there.

The house in the painting.

You went near and looked at it. The house was a bit broken down. Looking closely, you saw that a few of the house's parts were burned.

Suddenly, you heard a twig break behind you. You turned around to see a handsome boy standing there.

He had brown hair, black eyes,soft lips and  perfect cheekbones. He was breathtakingly handsome.

That was when you realized that he was the boy in the shadows of the painting.

Suddenly,he spoke, breaking you out of your stance.

"Kim Y/n?"

"H-how do you know my name? Who are you and how the hell am I inside a painting?!"

"I know everything. I am Kim Taehyung. And about how you are here, you were transported here because....

".... you are the chosen one "

"I'm what?"

"I'll explain to you, shall we take a walk?"

"O-okay, I guess?"

He walked into the woods as you followed closely,not wanting to lose yourself

As he walked , you realized that the trees were moving away from him, clearing a path.

It was like magic.

You  finally arrived at the destination. Looking around, you realized that you were in the meadows.

Even though it wasn't very bright because of the dark clouds,it was so beautiful .

As you were lost in the beauty of the meadows,the boy,Taehyung,turned around and spoke,

"So,I'll introduce myself once again. I'm Kim Taehyung. I live in the house you saw earlier. So basically, I live in this painting. You might not believe it but it's the truth."

"Oh okay. Also,I noticed that the house was burned and broken down. How did that happen?"

"Well,that's a very long story. 1 year ago, it was a very beautiful house. It was my home. I lived there with my mom,dad and sister. We were a happy family. Until,one day a fire spread through the forest, burning our house. I had gone to a farm a bit far away and when I returned, my house wasn't there anymore. It was burnt to ashes.

A-along wi-with........"

He broke down as your eyes slightly welled up at the sight. You patted his back slowly. He took a deep breath and continued.

"Along with my family. I couldn't even find their remains."

"I'm sorry"

You said, feeling sad for Taehyung.

"Its okay, i'm trying to move on"

"But, if your house was burnt to the ground, how did I see it then?"

"After the fire, I had nowhere to live. I wandered in the forest, eating fruits and sleeping on trees. One day,I came upon a tree. It had black fruits. I've never seen anything like that before. But I was hungry, ate the fruit and slept on the tree. The next day, as I got down from a tree, a creature appeared in front of me. It was a fairy. But he had black wings and black clothes. He was surprised that I was still alive. Since....

.... The fruit I had eaten was the berry of death."

"The what???"

"It's a fruit which kills people. More like a poison fruit.it was made by an evil witch who wanted to kill everyone."

"I don't know why I wasn't affected by it,even now."

"When the evil witch got to know that I had survived her berries,she put a curse on me."

"A-a curse?? "

"Yes. She said I will always be alone,in the darkness. I had dark clouds surrounding me. Since then, my life has never had a hint of happiness. I was always gloomy. Upon hearing about this curse,the black fairy felt bad for me and helped me.She rebuilt my house with her magic and  after a lot of difficulties, she created a solution to my curse."

"What was the solution?"

You asked,getting curious. He turned to look at you and replied,

"I shall be freed from the darkness when I share a kiss with my soulmate from the human world."

"So who exactly is your soulmate?"

"You."

"Me???!"

"Yes. You are the chosen one, my soulmate,from the human world."
