Chapter 1

September 28

Scaramouche begrudgingly packed the bento box that his mom made him. They've been arguing for a week but she still made him a lunch. Him and Miko got onto something at least once a week but she made some good ass food.

Scaramouche stretched and grabbed his car keys before walking out the door. His care was in the driveway, his suitcases packed into the trunk. The summer break didn't last long enough.

Another year with Childe as his roommate but they were adding someone new. Scaramouche hated it. Childe was more of a disappointment nt than he could take.

Scaramouche turned up the radio and drove to his old dorm.

Sethos sighed before putting on a smile and entering his grandfathers room.

"Grandfather?" Sethos questioned.

"Seth? Seth is that you?"

"Yup. I'm here gramps. Just.. letting you know
Cyno will be here in a few... And I'm going to uni."

"Unicorn?"

"No. My fault gramps, uni as in university."

"Oh right right. Have fun Seth, call and email."

"I will grandpa. Just as soon as Cyno and his husband get here..." Sethos looked out the window, worried. He had his schedule managed to the minute and got worried as Cyno was a few minutes late.
Suddenly a car pulled up, a man with big fluffy ears and a tail walked out with an annoyed look in his eye. (Idc this is a modern au, he looks weird without his ears 😭)

The man turned around and relaxed his face as Sethos met him at the door.

"Hello! I'm Tighnari. Cyno is being an idiot... Also sorry we're late! Our sitter was having transportation issues." Tighnari held out his hand for Sethos to shake.

"Oh it's no problem." That was a lie but that's not important. "I gotta run. Yknow, the first day and everything..." Sethos shook Tighnari's hand and let him in before leaving the single story home.

Cyno was just getting out the car as Sethos hopped onto his bike.
"Have a nice first day kid!" Cyno waved and watched Sethos cycle away.

"Nari!!! The car isn't turning off!"

"The red button Cyno."

"Thanks!"

"Scara my man how've you been!" Childe greets as Scaramouche walks through the door with his bags.

"We went to the beach together two weeks ago." Scaramouche gave Childe a glare. Childe stood up and helped Scaramouche with his bags.

"So is the new guy here yet?" Scaramouche asked while unfolding his clothes and putting it in the closet.

"Yeah he said he went out for some snacks," Childe shrugged.

"His name?" Scaramouche questioned.

"Xiao. He's from Liyue too."
