"school starts in a few days!?" zoey questioned loudly through my phone, to which i  only nodded my head

"i still got like what..? a week and a half!?" zoey jokingly mocked counting the days on her fingers to rub it in more

"okay okayyy" i jokingly scoffed "i've gotta go tho girl" and with that we  both said our goodbyes and hung up the  facetime call

i my way out of the comfort of my bedroom, and into the living room

within literal seconds i  heard "hey kid!" from mom

"hey mom" i  replied and sat down on the couch, pulling out her phone and opening insta

curiosity got the better of me- i pressed the button to get to his page

"hmm?" my dad mumbled from the chair adjacent to mine, i shook her head and mumbled a "nothing, sorry"

i scrolled and stopped on a post from the beginning of this month

honestly i couldn't believe this guy was going to MY new school!?

i went to click off his page but when i swiped i accidentally hit the button to add him

"do i just add him? no.. he still would have seen the notification... oh fuck..." was all i was thinking

i stood up and went to leave the living room so i could go panic in the comfort of my bed

"oh shane wait!" my mom called as she walked over to me with a small bowl with some orange slices in it

"i was wondering if you wanted to on "mother daughter day"

no other three words could make me immediately want to off myself more...

no doubt i absolutely loved and adored my mother but the last "mother daughter day" turned into a 5 hour lecture about grades and boys

all i could do was nod to my mom

"okay go get ready sweetie" i smiled at my mom before grabbing an orange slice from her, then heading upstairs

i picked out an outfit that was pretty funny to me

i immediately took a selfie and posted it on my insta, where i had a whopping 34 followers!!

just after i finished my makeup she checked her phone again at its sudden buzzing

"oh dear god..." i mumbled out to myself

i didn't want to pay too much more attention to this situation so i turned off my phone and put it in my back pocket and left my room

ready for my "Mother daughter day"

i rolled my eyes just thinking about it...
