The summer after graduation, it wasn't uncommon for someone to get distant for a little. Things started getting a little concerning for everyone when Stiles seemed more distant than what seemed normal.
"Are you okay?" Scott asked, sitting at his desk.
"What makes you think I'm not?" Stiles asked pointing his finger at the camera. "I thought we agreed on no therapy sessions."
Scott chuckled. "No - you've just been very distant lately. Even when you're around, you can't get your phone out of you face."
"It's nothing, Scott."
"It doesn't seem like nothing."
"I just..." Stiles leans against the head of his bed. "I've been planning a trip."
"Where? When are you leaving?"
"I'm not sure yet, we haven't worked out the details."
Scott faced his full attention at his computer. "Who's we?"
"Just a friend, it doesn't matter, Scott."
-
After their call.
-Stiles shut his computer and laid back with a sigh. His phone started to buzz. He picked it up with a sigh and answered.
"Scott, I told you eight different times to drop it, okay?"
"Who's Scott?"
Stiles eyes widened. "Derek - sorry, I thought you were my friend Scott."
"It's alright... So, have you decided when I'm gonna see you?"
"I was working on it, I think around next Friday."
"Okay, that should work... Let me look- ah, my uncles going to be in town."
"I don't mind."
Derek sighed. "He can be a bit much."
"Well, I guess I won't have to worry with you there."

Friday
-Stiles waited outside the airport, looking at his phone.
"Hey, stranger."
Stiles recognized the voice, this time, it sounded better. Less robotic. More real, more...
"Derek!" Stiles looked up and let go of his luggage. He raced down the path, jumping into his arms.
Derek lulled back, but quickly caught his balance. He wrapped his arms around Stiles, holding up up and close.
"Oh my god," Stiles whispered. He placed both hands on Derek's cheeks, inspecting his face.
"You okay?"
Stiles nodded. A smile slowly crept on his face as he hugged Derek once more.
Toward the end of their embrace, Derek put Stiles back down onto his feet.
"We should get your luggage before somebody tries to take it."
-
At Derek's house.
-"Bathrooms here, the kitchen his down there, I do have a spare room: it's got a futon." Derek explained, leading Stiles through the house. "But, I figured you'd be comfortable in here," Derek led them into the main bedroom.
"I'm definitely okay with it."
Derek shook his head with a smirk. "You can put your suitcase wherever."
Stiles set in it the corner of the room so it was out of the way. Once he turned around, Derek chest was right in his face.
"Woah," Stiles said, backing up.
He was pulled back in once Derek got a hold of his waist. "I have plans for you."
Stiles looked at him, surprised and confused, but mostly excited. He didn't think it would lead this direction so quickly, but he wasn't complaining.
"Oh?" Stiles smirked. "And what would those be."
Derek hoisted him into his arms again, this time, getting a firmly hold on his bottom. "Don't play dumb, you know exactly what I mean."
