This is the first chapter for a payjay fanfic I never finished, specifically for Sketchaloova. I found it rotting in my google docs, so I decided to post it and share it with you guys. The fanfic was gonna be called "Selenophelia" which means a person who is fond of or interested in the moon.

Enjoy :3

Paper sat at the desk in his and OJ's shared hotel room, filling out paperwork as he always did.

As much as he loved taking the weight off of OJ's shoulders in terms of work, it made him overwhelmed and definitely more...excitable, or, on edge than he'd usually be.

They needed an equal distribution of work, but Paper thought that him taking all of it at once would be the best. Not for him, but for OJ.

Paper had a habit of neglecting his own needs to care for others. He spent so much time making sure other people were alright that he'd forget to make sure he was alright.

Eventually he sighed, putting the pencil down and letting it roll almost off of the desk until he stopped it from moving once again by placing his hand in front of it. He sat up, shaking off the pins and needles in his legs, and deciding to take a break for now. Although he did overwork himself a lot, you can't continuously work forever.

He slowly opened the door, making sure not to alert anyone, before closing the door and tip-toeing his way out into the hall. His feet barely made any noise as he walked across the floorboards, holding his arms close to his chest.

Eventually he got out into the lobby. He took in the quiet, dark atmosphere. The lobby was usually loud, bright, and even overstimulating at times, so seeing the place so peaceful was a nice change of pace. It helped him relax a bit, and he felt his shoulders loosen up.

He walked over to the front doors, gently opening one before squeezing his way through the small gap he had made in the door and closing it shortly afterwards. He didn't want to risk the door creaking and waking someone up, or catching the attention of someone already awake. He wanted to do this alone, nobody else involved.

Well... there was one person he could think of to accompany him... but that's not important right now.

He walked over to the side of the hotel, leaning back and dragging himself down against the wall into a sitting position.

He stared up at the moon and stars, admiring the space around him. The stars seemed so small, yet they were so big, especially compared to himself. He was just microscopic in the scale of the universe. Millions of thousands of stars floated in the black abyss of the sky around him, the light from the full moon illuminating his face.

The cold yet calming breeze moved across the grass, making it flow elegantly in a mesmerizing way. It looked almost...artificial. In a good way, of course. It was beautiful! Beautiful like...

"Paper?"

His thoughts were cut off by the very man he was daydreaming about. Or, well, technically not daydreaming since it's night time... Eh, whatever.

He looked up at the hotel manager in front of him, looking a bit worried.

"O-Oh! Hello there, OJ!" He gave his best not-tired looking smile and waved, but it was still evident he hadn't slept for the past 2 days.

"I was looking for you in the hotel but I couldn't find you, are you alright?" OJ walked over and sat next to him, their shoulders just inches from touching.
