More months pass. I fell more and more in love with him. His kindness, his strength, and courage. One day, during recess, he said that he would be right back, and to stay where I am. When he returned, I could tell he was hiding something. I asked if everything was alright and he merely nodded his head. He said “just a headache, I will be fine.” but I didn’t believe him. I came over to his house later in the afternoon. He seemed to be in pain all over. Since it was a friday, we could have our sleepover, but on the floor with pillows and blankets. I witnessed his training session. He was getting exhausted, and was in pain.

He stopped for a breather. I got a good look at him this time. He had bruises all over him again! And worse than last time! “Link, you need to stop!” I insisted, but he just continued, wincing and quietly screaming in pain. It hit midnight. He finally stopped and layed down with me. He needed a hug. He hugged me tightly as it soothed the both of us to sleep. “Good night my brave hero.” I said quietly, as he was dozing off. “Good night, my silent princess.” he managed to get out before fully knocking out for the night.

I awoke to strange sounds. I looked next to me. Link was not there. I checked the time on my phone. 5am. I sat up and saw him training again. “Link? What are you doing?” I asked. “What are you doing up?” he asked me. “I woke up to you training. You weren’t very discreet about it.” I responded. He came over to me. And layed back down, running his fingers through my hair. He wanted to make sure I was well rested, so he put me back to sleep.

I woke up again. I checked the time. 7am. I sat up. Link was on the floor in front of me. He must have slept while training. He woke up a few minutes later. His bruises were forming up to his neck. I grabbed a cloth and set him up in bed. I placed it on his bruises. He was breathing heavily.his uncle came to check if we were awake. He asked Link what's wrong but I quickly said, “he woke up with a cold this morning, so I am helping him feel better!” Link gave a thumbs up to show that it was true, even though it wasn’t. his uncle walked out.

A few hours later, Link was showing improvement. “You know zelda… you should really become a nurse when you grow up.” he said. I smiled and continued treating his wounds. We played video games all afternoon, and then let Link take a nap. And since I was helping Link recover from his “cold” I was allowed to have another sleepover. But by that time, Link was well rested and fully recovered. So we decided to pull an all-nighter for fun.

We watched movies and played video games. I was getting tired, but we kept going. By 5am, I was acting really stupid. Link let me lean on his chest. I knocked out right as we were watching the sunrise on the balcony. It was really sweet for the both of us. Link recorded a video of the sunrise, so that I could see it.he is really sweet.
