Chapter #1: Checkpoint
The volatile Isle of Skye is feeling the pain of internal conflict as its Duke Robert Kelswa-Steiner continues his bid for independence from the Lyran Alliance. Though independence is not officially backed by Prince Victor Davion, there has been much obvious coordination between Kelswa-Steiner's and Davion's efforts. Many planets have been stripped of regular military units as both sides of the Skye conflict jockey for control of indecisive planets. Militia commanders on several worlds have been forced into declaring martial law to keep the peace. The result thus far has been anything but peaceful. Private industries and low-level governors have begun to loosen their purse strings for short-term mercenary contracts to protect their personal interests.
Briefing:
Militia units have established several highway checkpoints on routes throughout the Caspian Mountains. As standard practice, they impose outrageous tariffs and make outright seizures. Transpax, Inc. wants the units forcibly removed, and is offering contracts to make that happen.
Castle: This is a standard search and destroy mission. Militia forces are congregated around the roadblock stations and a pair of bivouacs. Anticipate ground armor and light 'Mech defenders.
At Caspian Mountains, Tucker inside of his battlemech Arctic Cheetah (Hankyu), Jon Howell a male pilot in Mad Dog (Vulture/Heavy BattleMechs) and Hilliard Levi another male pilot in Mist Lynx (Kosh/Light BattleMech).
Tucker: (COMS) Give a ready report and go weapons hot.
Jon: (COMS) This is Jon. Ready op.
Hilliard: (COMS) This is Hilliard. Ready op.
Tucker: (COMS) Castle, Spectre Lance is Ready op.
Castle: (COMS) Roger, Commander. You're a little over a kilometer out from the first checkpoint. Their ground radar will pick you up before you spot them. Make your best speed to Alpha.
Tucker: (COMS) Acknowledged. Moving on Alpha, full throttle.
As Tucker and his fellow pilots approached the first checkpoint, they could see the flashing lights of the militia vehicles ahead. The tension in the air was palpable, and Tucker knew that they needed to act quickly and decisively to achieve their objective.
Tucker: (COMS) Alright, guys. Let's hit them hard and fast. Jon, you take the left flank. Hilliard, you're on the right. I'll go straight down the middle.
Jon: (COMS) Roger that, Commander.
Hilliard: (COMS) Understood.
As they closed in on the checkpoint, the militia forces began to scramble, deploying their ground armor and light 'Mech defenders. Tucker's Arctic Cheetah (Hankyu) was a formidable force, its twin PPCs capable of delivering devastating damage at long range.
Tucker: (COMS) Engaging the enemy.
The battle was fierce, with both sides trading heavy fire. Tucker's Hankyu proved to be a formidable weapon, its advanced targeting systems allowing him to take out several enemy 'Mechs with precision shots.
Tucker: (COMS) Try not to get in a crossfire with those turrets and tanks, people. Here we go! Enemy 'Mech at Alpha.
Hilliard: (COMS) You have violated a Halloran Protectorate outpost. You are ordered to power down and surrender your 'Mechs.
Tucker: (COMS) Spunky little fella, don't you think?
Jon: (COMS) Roger <chuckles>
Tucker: (COMS) Looks like that Hellspawn came up minus a pilot. Leave it for salvage.
As the battle continued, Tucker and his fellow pilots worked together to neutralize the militia forces and secure the checkpoint. The enemy was well-prepared, but the Smoke Jaguar Clan's experience and training gave them an edge in combat.
Tucker: (COMS) Good work, guys. Let's move on to the next checkpoint.
Castle: (COMS) Commander, be advised. There's a pair of bivouacs along the route to Checkpoint Bravo. You may encounter resistance.
Tucker: (COMS) Understood. We'll be ready.
As they approached the bivouacs, Tucker and his team could see the enemy forces gathering, preparing for a fight. Tucker knew that they needed to act quickly to avoid a protracted battle, and he devised a plan to take out the enemy's defenses.
Tucker: (COMS) Jon, Hilliard, I want you to take out those turrets on the left and right flanks. I'll provide cover fire.
Jon: (COMS) Roger that, Commander.
Hilliard: (COMS) On my way.
With precision and skill, Tucker and his fellow pilots executed their plan, taking out the enemy turrets and leaving the militia forces exposed. The battle was intense, but the Smoke Jaguar Clan emerged victorious.
Tucker: (COMS) Good work, everyone. Let's move on to Checkpoint Bravo.
As Tucker and his fellow pilots continued their mission, they encountered more resistance from the militia forces. The enemy was determined to hold their ground, but the Smoke Jaguar Clan's experience and training gave them an advantage in combat.

Tucker: (COMS) Understood. We'll be ready.
