Chapter 8: A Melody of Sadness

After being kicked out of his family home, he traversed to a nearby town, where he immediately lost the food he was given. Using what little money he has, he used it to purchase a loaf of bread which was moldy, and small. Wolfgang tried to ask the locals for help, but was ignored by everyone, some even told him to leave the area. While a starving Wolfgang wanders, pondering as to why the locals dislike him, begins to hear the sound of music. Overjoyed, he followed the sound and saw a Bard performing in the middle of the town-square, he did not know of what song he sang, but the sound captivated the young man. Closing his eyes, he began to feel the notes the man played, feeling it surround him as he gingerly reaches out for his Ocarina, and begun to play.

As he played alongside the Bard, the feeling of his pain and sadness could be felt through the crowd as they listened to his song, the Bard slowly approached Wolfgang as he joined into his song, seeing as he captivated his crowd. Together, the two brought tears to the crowd, and when they finished they were meet with an uproar of applause, coins of all kinds fell into the Bards bag as they crowd dispersed. When the man grabs his bag, he handed Wolfgang a separate pouch, remarking how beautiful he sounded and that he earned his own share. The young man thanked the Bard as the two parted ways, Wolfgang, feeling overjoyed, began counting his coin when he heard a loud explosion.

Crowds began to erupt in fear as they began to trample over Wolfgang, making his drop his coin pouch as it broke open, feet kicking the coins around as he feverishly tried to grab them. A random foot kicked his head, causing Wolfgang to fall unconscious as the stampede went past him. As Wolfgang was unconscious, he began to dream of himself back in the World of Toys, chained against a wall inside a prison cell. He began calling for help, where his pleas went unanswered, when he heard the familiar chuckle of Muse, slowly getting closer. Trying to break free, he felt a sharp sting against his side, forcing himself awake inside an unfamiliar room.
