When the institute had just done some years in London, they recovered two babies from a mother who was killed just outside of her home.

The two were raised in side the institute and was given special privileges, being that they were the literal embodiment of sun and moon. One would be awake in the day while the other sleeped and vice versa in the night.

When it came to them being the age to finally begin retrieving other supercell humans, they were a powerful duo.

Key term; were, because they escaped.

The director of the institute was feeling a bit too cocky and decided to let the two watches they ran tests on a supercell human. The human had the abilities to regrow a part of their body as what they want it to be.

He cut off her hand, then her foot and it grew back. Then he cut off her head.

It didn't grow back.

The two grew sick of the institute and devised an escape plan. The day child would watch the rounds made by the guards during the day while the night child would do the same. They noticed a loop. Just between 4:32am and 5:35am, the guards would head somewhere all together. Since it was during the day, it was all for the day child to carefully transport them from the institute to the outside world.

The day child waited until 4:45am, drawing energy from the upcoming sun and melted the emergency sensors, along with their cell door. With a few casualties and confused directing, they made it to the outside world and immediately got rid of the institute trackers.

A few miles they ran down the streets until they paused by a coffee shop. The owner had saw them as kind souls and took them under his wing until they could survive on their own.

The institute learned of their loss and was more pissed off at the fact they took out their sensors. Even when they searched for other supercell humans, they still kept an eye out for the twins; Sona and Moe.
