Taylor's pov

Jack and I just finished recording a few more songs that i think are going to be on the new album i finished my last u.s show on tour about a week ago and flew straight to New York to work with jack. Joe and I broke up a little over 6 months ago but the internet just found out at one of the last shows. While I was in Kansas City i made a post on Instagram confirming it. I'm not going to lie it really hurt to have to leave someone you thought you were going to marry and have kids with someday, but we had different plans for the same future.  I wanted to grow old with him and have a life while also having a career. He wanted me to stay hidden with him and he always said he wanted to get married but we were together for almost 7 years and there were no hints of even a proposal.

"have you seen this" Jack asks pulling me out of my thought and showing me his phone "no" i say confused "watch it" he says handing the phone to me it starts with one man who i know as Jason Kelce, and then another guy pops up on the screen with a mustache who looks about my age he was talking about going to my concert and being disappointed. oh great another man who hates me  

"i wanted to give taylor a bracelet i made her with my number on it alright now" the younger man who i now know as travis says "as in 87 or your phone number" he laughs the most contagious laugh i have ever heard by the way "you know which one" i smile thinking about a giant football player being turned away but my security

i hand the phone back to jack "he's cute right like totally taylor swifts new man cute" he says trying to keep a straight face "i hate you" i say grabbing my stuff laughing walking out the door to meet my security "bye love you too" jack yells

I get into the back seat of my car " miss swift Keleigh Teller is at your apartment" Drew says from the front seat "okay thanks" i have a list of people who my security can let into my house no questions asked in case of an emergency or if they just need a place to stay. I have absolutely no clue why Keleigh would be there right now though.

I walk into my apartment and see her sitting at the island with a glass of wine "just make your self at home" i joke putting my keys down "trust me i did. dinner is in the oven and here" she says handing me a huge glass of wine "i love you but why are you here" i watch as she pulls her phone out "i really need you to hear me out on this one" she says showing me the video jack had just shown me not even an hour ago

"i've already seen it" i say still watching it anyway she takes her phone once the clip is over "and what did you think" she asks clearly very invested  "i think it's sweet-" i see her get excited "but i also think i don't want anything to do with anyone romantically right now" she sighs "taylor we are all sick of sad taylor, Joe was a dick, yes but you need to do what makes you happy and Miles knows travis he's a really good guy." she says and as i go to say something "i've meet him a few times to he's really sweet, a gentleman, and is so funny. he's literally a guy version of you taylor i can get his number for you if you want to give him a chance" 

I just look at her for a minute before the oven timer goes off  "we can talk more about the 6'5 nfl player after dinner" she says and i know it was a joke but dam he's 6'5.  We talk about normal things over dinner and end up on the couch. even though Keleigh came here to set me up i am really happy to see her it's been awhile

"okay i'm going to head out i'll have Miles send you Travis number do what you will that love you" i smile when not even 5 minutes after she left i already had a text from Miles. I don't know what to do i'm still recovering from Joe and how that ended but maybe someone new would be nice, or would end the same way

fuck it im just going to text him now what to say. after deleting and retyping about 50 time i land on.  Hey it's taylor, I saw the video of you talking about my show I hope not getting to see me didn't ruin the show. I would love to get that bracelet.

Travis pov

"dinner at mine tonight" Patrick asks as we walk into the locker room "ya sure i'll be there" i say getting my stuff together i pick up my phone that's when i see a text from a random number i'm just praying my number didn't get leaked i open it and that's when i see a text from someone claiming to be taylor freaking swift

But i know better to fall for something like this so i get in my car and drive home before finally responding

I was hoping i wasn't being too straightforward but she didn't seam to mind. We text for a few hours about everything and nothing all at once that's when Patrick calls me

"sorry i'm late" i say walking into the house after being greeted by the toddlers "It's okay" britney says we all sit down and taylor texts me i smile and respond quickly hopping they didn't notice "who you texting over there trav" britney says

"no one really just my brother about the podcast" i don't want to get anyone's hopes up quite yet but i am so excited that i need to tell some one soon "okay whatever you say" Patrick says
