One night, years ago, there was an evening of rain and thunder. A mother was protecting her child from the horrors of the acid rain and other deadly monsters. The monsters chasing the mother and her child won't give up until both of them are dead.
The woman finally found shelter in the storm of death, but not for her... for her child.
She frantically knocked on the door of the home... at least that's what she thinks it is. The darkness makes her sight very limited.
Fortunately the woman heard the door unlock, she was relieved. She set the child gently onto the doorstep.
The woman could've survived, but she was too late... the rain burned her skin, and the creatures chasing her got to her...
All left of the woman was blood and a corpse.
The child somehow survived.
The door finally opened, a man with abomination slime for hair was on the other side of the door. He saw the corpse of the mother, and the crying child on the doorstep.
There was a note on top of the child, somehow the note didn't get burnt by the rain. The man picked up the note and read it.
