Chapter 12 - The Mafia King Made Tae Angry

Why is it always my job?

Tae shed invisible tears. His job was more like a hanging sword on his neck rather than a feeling of happiness.

He whispered so that only Assistant Park could hear. "So, you are not calling any S3 team to kidnap me?"

Mr. Park was dumbfounded. "Do you think we are that stupid to waste our exceptional S3 team on someone like you?"

His mouth twitched.

You were surely going to waste it on some non-existent culprit for a minor water crisis last night.

"Get into the car!"

He jolted and the phone hung up.

Tae looked at Jungkook and tried his best to smile. "W-will you please drop me at the college?"

Jungkook nodded.

The strange feeling in his chest disappeared.

Joo Goeun couldn't put her finger but she still felt that something was wrong. But she didn't want to delve into it right now after Jungkook embarrassed her.

Tae said, "See you later, Joo."

"Hm. Sure."

Inside the car, Tae maintained a safe distance from Jungkook as he sat beside him. Now that he knew that Jungkook doesn't like anybody touching him, he decided to be utmost cautious.

Tae lamented on his luck. Here he had already thought of so many ways to get closer to him in this car ride, but fate cruelly splashed ice water on his intentions.

Jungkook looked at the distance between them and frowned.

"Too far."

Tae stiffened.

"R-right..."

He shifted just a little bit to his right.

Jungkook said, "Still too far."

He coughed and shifted once again. There was still a wide space between them.

Jungkook pursed his lips. "Still too far."

Tae cried.

Boss, don't you hate people touching you? Why are you making things difficult for me? I don't want to get fired.

He nervously smiled and shifted once again. Jungkook didn't react. He was sexily tapping his finger on his thigh, deep in thought about the not-so-lessening distance.

So, he simply held his arm and pulled him to sit beside him.

Tae felt as if lightning struck him.

"This is what I meant."

He turned his head like a robot and stared dumbfounded at him. Just a moment ago, he was miles away and now he could see his thin and inviting lips at such a close distance.

Tae gulped hard.

Throw those thoughts out, stupid! He doesn't like people getting close. Your love story has ended before it even began!

"I-I see."

The driver trembled hard in his seat.

Boss touched a man...He touched a man for the first time! Hell, he even brought one in his car for the first time!

The car slowed down, making Jungkook glance at him.

"Why slow down?"

He jolted. "Sorry, Boss!"
