tock tock tock tock tock tock tock tock tock tock tock tock

I had stayed awake all night hearing the clock tick in anticipation.
AHHHHHHHHHHHH, I can't wait to finally socialize-

I walked towards the window in my room to open the curtains, only to get greeted by the dull gray clouds in the sky.

"Pearl, what are you doing so early?"

FUCK.

"Uhhhh- Nothing, mom! I was just checking if it's morning yet!"

"Sweetie, you know that there is a clock right beside you, right..."

When the fuck was there a clock in my room??! Who cares. I have the memory of a mutated goldfish, anyway-

"I can't believe you are my child- CAREFUL!"

I was just about to trip on the bed and fall on one of the vases in my room. Thank heavens my mom caught me before I fell-

"You know what? Instead of wasting my time and trying to break vases, you should just go to school and leave me alone for some time. You were always a disappointment."

Sheesh, why was she getting so salty?
And why was there even a vase in my room for goodness sake!?

"Are you going to leave?"

You see THAT?
That looks like a question, but in my mom's language, that's a fucking command. So I'd had to leave early if I didn't want my existence to be turned into a question.

I quickly stuffed a few notebooks and a pen into a worn out bag and stepped outside the house before I got killed. The air outside was cold and misty. It was not FREEZING cold, but me stepping outside in just a simple shirt wasn't helping either.

Oh, how I wish I could utilize a warm hug from someone special!
Walking arm in arm along the lonely streets.
The harsh cruel wind trying to break us apart as the forces of love binding us closer until we-

Ah yes, why do I always reach school before I could complete my fictional stories.

I entered the school gates to find it almost empty. I realized that I still had some time and could utilize it in exploring the school a bit.
I didn't want to enter the school just yet so I went around it aND OH MY GOSH, SOMEBODY HELP-

Was I hallucinating?
☑ Absolutely perfect
☑ Greek god
☑ Tall
☑ Attractively fit
☑ Hazel eyes
☑ Charming smile
and most importantly
☑ FUCKING PRETTYYY
I have a thing for pretty boys, but a one who CHECKED OFF ALL THE BOXES, that too WHILE BEING
*takes a deep breath*
MOTHERDUCKING SHIRTLESS????

The hazel-eyed angel soon noticed me as I awkwardly stood in a corner.

"Oh, uhh... hey! You must be new here? Haven't seen you before. My apologies to be a pain in the eyes at 6 in the morning. And, just in case if you are wondering, I was practicing swimming."
He said while putting on his shirt in a rush and running his hand through his gorgeous wet hair.

"Oh, that sounds nice! D-do you always practice this early in the morning?"
Normally, I would have been able to navigate through an awkward conversation like this. I really don't know why I was stuttering all of a sudden.

"Yea. I practice before school hours because I would like not to be a distraction to the crowd. What about you? Why did you come so early?"

"I just wanted to come to school early to explore it a bit. I've heard that they have a huge campus." I said, trying to cover up the actual reason why I was there so early.

"Well, I hope you have a nice time around here!" He fled while giving me a tiny smile.

I swear, this man was so gorgeous, cupid would think twice before shooting his arrow without being head over heels for him.
Needless to say, this unusual encounter was the equivalent to a sugar rush.

I clumsily made my way inside the building, nearly tripping on at least 3 rocks on my way.
I somehow managed to find my classroom on the third turn on the second floor.

A girl sat on the fourth bench at the corner row looking at the willow tree across the window with all her attention.

"Hi!" I said in my liveliest voice possible.
You can DEFINITELY imagine the horror on my face when she didn't respond to me.
Was this officially the second awkward highlight of my already ruined day?

"Is there something in the willow tree?" I asked in a small voice, hoping for a response.

"Oh, are you talking to me?" She responded in an even smaller voice as if someone would hear us conversing.

"Yes..."
I was still pretty clueless about what was going on.

"Oh! Sorry if you thought I was ignoring you. I am just a bit introverted..." She said with a nervous laugh.

Oh god, these introverts-
Why they gotta be so fucking difficult to understand?

"No problem! Do you mind if I sit next to you?" I asked in my sweetest voice, trying not to sound too annoyed by the situation.

"O-Of course! I am Scarlet, by the way. And you're?"

"Pearl."
I was relieved that she at least spoke something to me.

Welp, that was how I made my first friend. Kinda awkward, but at least it's better than no one!

Time passed and the class slowly filled up with students.
But it seemed as if fate had planned the worst day for me, because right after the bell rung for the first class, someone had entered the class.
And I'm pretty sure that most of you have guessed who that someone is by now.

"Pearl, are you okay?..." Scarlet's voice interrupted me.

"Of course I'm okay! Do you mean to say that I'm not okay?"

"No, it's because-"

"Ugh, okay fine! He is just so pretty, you know." I knew I had to interrupt her the moment I saw a smirk creeping in on her face.

"Do you like him?" She whispered to me.

"No, of course not! He just looks good." I tried to justify.

"We'll see about that." She said just as he sat right in front us.

"This couldn't be happening to me." I murmured to myself.

"Well, this is kind of happening to you." She said with an mischievous smile.

God, I will end myself if my day somehow gets more awkward than it already is-
