Jake's POV
"Mr. Sim... what have you done?" The interrogator's voice slices through the fog, a sharp, brutal reminder of reality. He looked concerned, but disgusted at the same time.
What have I done? What have I done?! "I... don't fucking know anymore." I muttered, my voice shaking. My thoughts are a tornado, ripping through my mind. I feel so horrible... This wasn't me... I'm not like this... Tears threaten to spill, but I can't let them see me break. Not now.
"There were five bodies found in your basement. Care to explain that?" The interrogator's words clamp around my neck, squeezing, suffocating.
Five bodies. Five. I can still see them, feel their weight, smell the decay. My hands are shaking. "I... I just... I killed them all..." The confession is a jagged shard of glass, tearing through my throat.
"We need to know, why?" The interrogator's eyes are hollow, like black holes, swallowing my sanity.
Why? Why did I do it? My heart is a wild animal, thrashing against my chest. "B-Because... Because of my... m-my... husband..." The words come out strangled, twisted, like a nightmare come to life.
Heeseung. My Heeseung. My perfect, monstrous Heeseung. You fucking asshole... His face swims before my eyes, I... wanted to drown him so badly... and I... I followed him. I became his shadow, his executioner. For him. Always for him.
The blood. So much blood. It's in my hair, my skin, under my nails. I can't wash it off. It's seeping into my soul, blackening everything, but all I see is red... I'm drowning, suffocating, the screams, their eyes, their pleas... they haunt me, I'm going insane...
What have I become? What have I done?
...
God, Heeseung... what have you turned me into...?
I'm...
I'm beyond saving...
You're going to be the sixth body, Lee Heeseung.
