"Where are you" As I frantically spoke on the phone, my anger building, the man on the other line replied with a simple, casual response. "I'm in the backyard of the house," he said, as if the situation was concern to him.

As I walked through the house, my mind raced with thoughts and plans. I entered the backyard and found him standing there, looking at me with a smirk on his face.

"You came," he said, his voice smooth and cold

"Yeah , and I was the one who called" I am in no mood to be nice. My brother Morgan . I know after all the pain this family has caused him he still love us all like nothing happened . He used to be pain in ass , yapper and what not but now he's just a man with nothing but grief . It was as if we had all killed him alive, our actions and words having chipped away at his heart until nothing was left but a hollow shell.

I walked closer to him, my heart beating faster with each step. He looked at me, his expression unreadable. I could tell that he was expecting something, perhaps an explanation or an apology.

"Did you knew about the marriage" i inquired

Morgan looked surprised, his expression changing briefly. "Yes," he said quietly, avoiding my gaze. "I know about the marriage."

"And you said nothing ?"  I was surprised  "You know what your arrange marriage did to you ? and still you ain't saying a word against it" disbelief.

My brother's expression remained neutral as he stared at me, clearly uncomfortable with the situation. "What could I say?" he replied, his voice low. "It's not my place to interfere in other people's lives." I felt a wave of anger wash over me at my brother's words. "Other people?" I repeated, my voice rising. "Are you serious? we are siblings . You know me from the moment i took breath . How can you say it's not your place to interfere?"

Morgan clenched his jaw, his frustration clearly building. "You think I don't want to step in and fix everything? But I've tried, Hazel. I've tried so many times, and it's only ended in more pain and heartache." I know what he's talking about , something he never talks about .

"How long have you been carrying this burden?" I asked softly, my anger cooling into concern.

My brother's voice was heavy with grief as he spoke, his words revealing the extent of his pain. "From the moment when i thought i had it all ,  a perfect life but when I had to leave the person I loved the most , my life has been like this," he said, his eyes meeting mine. "It's been a constant battle between my own heart and what's considered 'right' by our family."

"there is nothing right when you are in pain" I wrapped my arms around his neck , the comfort he needed for all long . He burst into tears its my first time seeing him cry "I am sorry, I wasn't there when you needed me the most" I sobbed he broke the hug and cupped my face removing tears caused by this small talk .

With a serious look on his face, my brother grasped my shoulders and looked me directly in the eyes. "Hazel, please listen to me," he said firmly. "I know you're angry right now, but I need you to believe me. Dad will not let you marry anyone of your own choice. I tried to change his mind, but it was useless. And I am sorry i can't help you in that " My brother took a deep breath before continuing. "Just meet him once, just once. I have documents relating to his background. Read them. It's for your own good, I promise nothing will go wrong , i will protect you , i will not let anything happened to me happens to you  ."

"Chin up kiddo, they'd kill to see you fall " he said making me chuckling
