Sean slowly opened his eyes, groggily taking in his surroundings. He was in a hospital room, with beeping machines and sterile white walls. A figure sat beside him, holding his hand. Zach.
"Hey, baby," Zach whispered, his voice gentle and reassuring. "Welcome back."
Sean's mind was foggy, but he recognized Zach's voice. He tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over him, forcing him to lie back down.
"Whoa, easy does it," Zach said, holding him down. "You're okay, you're safe. You're in the hospital."
Sean's memories started to return. The procedure, the excitement and nervousness, the sense of wonder and hope. He looked down at his stomach, feeling a flutter in his chest.
"Zach...did it work?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Zach's eyes sparkled with tears. "Yes, but we'll find out in a few weeks. whether the embryo can grow in your body or not"
"Zach," he said, his voice shaking.
Zach squeezed his hand. "I know, honey. But we'll face this together".
Sean nodded, feeling a sense of calm wash over him. He looked at Zach, and Zach looked back at him, their eyes locked in a deep connection.
"I love you," Sean said, his voice filled with emotion.
"I love you too, baby," Zach replied, his voice filled with the same emotion. "Forever and always....Now, Let's go home"
As they held each other's hands, the machines beeping in the background, Sean felt a sense of peace settle over him. He knew that this was just the beginning of their journey, but he was ready to face it with Zach by his side.
Zach and Sean enter their apartment, after they have created a story in their life with the knowledge and technology they have. As they entered the apartment, Sean's eyes scanned the room, taking in the familiar surroundings. But then, his gaze fell on the balcony, and his eyes widened in surprise.
"Zach, what's going on?" Sean asked, his voice filled with excitement and curiosity.
Zach smiled, his eyes shining with happiness. "Come see," he said, beckoning Sean towards the balcony.
Sean's heart was racing as he walked towards the balcony. And that's when he saw it - the entire balcony was decorated with flowers, candles, and fairy lights. The sight took his breath away.
"Zach, this is incredible!" Sean exclaimed, his voice trembling with emotion.
Zach got down on one knee, a small box in his hand. "Sean, from the first time I met you, I knew that you were the one for me. And now we will starting a family together. Will you marry me?"
Sean's eyes welled up with tears as he looked at the beautiful setup. "Yes, yes, a million times yes!" he replied, his voice choked with emotion.
Zach placed the ring on Sean's finger, and they shared a tender kiss as the candles flickered and the flowers swayed gently in the breeze.
