YOU AND JIMMY were currently laying down together on your bed trying to watch a movie, but the sounds of the storm outside scared and distracted you. when the first flash of lightning lit up the room, it made your heart pace, making him pull you closer into him.
"you scared of storms?" he asked, you saw the concern in his face when you looked up to him.
"yeah i hate them." you pulled the covers to your face.
"it's okay y/n i've got you." he said to you without hesitation, wrapping his arms around your body trying to comfort and distract you from the noise outside. he tucked you under his arm whilst you heard the the sound of rain pattering against the windows, occasional sounds of thunder making you jump.
"don't worry, i'm here" jimmy whispered before kissing your forehead.
you hid your face in his chest and the sound of his heart beating slightly distracted you, his fingers ran through your hair which made you feel even more comforted and soothed. he started talking softly about his upcoming basketball tournament and how if they win he becomes captain. his voice was so comforting and it overtook the thought of the storm outside.
just as you were trying to get over it, the storm grew. but in jimmy's arms you knew you were safe. he held you extremely close to his warmth, his love protecting you from the fear. eventually, the rhythmic sound of the rain had you comforted, as well as jimmy's presence, made you close your eyes peacefully.
"i love you so much jimmy, thank you." your words spoke quietly but he loved the fact that you appreciated his help.
"i love you more y/n, you know i've always got you." you opened your eyes to smile at him, truly grateful for his love and care.
with jimmy, you knew you could face anyhting.
