Hope

Left right, left right. That was all she could think of while the young Mikaelson dodged the incoming attacks. The wooden stick missed her head by a few inches, leaving hope to counter the attack she was given. She wasn't one to use magic against her own students, however they had to be ready for just about anything. Running her hand along the wooden gym floor, she motioned toward the boy who was launching himself at her. Without any warning the second he reached her, he went flying backwards; crashing onto the floor. "No Fair!" He yelled back at the brunette. You could tell he was angry. Not just from the yelling but his eyes. The way they flashed a golden color, before quickly vanishing. Hope gave a little grin, her eyes becoming the same color. She was taunting him.. one thing she had taught her students, don't let your anger control you. The more pissed off you become, the more you risk causing harm and damage to others who don't deserve it. He came charging at hope, only at the last second did she step to the side and watch him run past. The young boy let out a groan, before turning back to hope. As he rushed, he swung a powerful right. Hope met him halfway, and lashed out with her own right. Her punch was faster, and it caught the boy by surprise. but he took it to the mouth, spat blood then angrily threw himself at her. Hope, completely unfazed, rested her hand in front of her. Freezing him in place the second she realized he was beyond angry. "Calm down Jake." Hope whispered, his eyes still laced with that golden brown color. "How can you tell me to calm down!! This is the fourth time I haven't passed this test!!" His voice was deeper than before. "You have to be ready for anything! Your anger keeps you from passing.. I add new things every time, this time being magic." The magic that held him bound dropped, and so did he. Jake Paxton, one of the only few wolves still alive from the Paxton Pack. His father was the legendary "Paxton werewolf". Poor thing didn't even know he was a wolf till he triggered his curse, so all of this is new to him. The school, vampires, witches, really anything supernatural. He was only 15, he was a teenager. Angry at the fact his life was a lie, and that no one told him otherwise. Hope saw a little of herself in him. He had no family. No mother or father to keep company, no friends to hangout with. He was alone, as she had been at that age; and now he must bow to the moon once a month, to become this beast he never asked for to begin with. "How am I supposed to put up a fight hope?" He sat on his knees and his face toward the ground. "How am I supposed to fight the almighty tribrid?" His voice grew quiet as he rested there. Hope went and sat in front of him, trying to comfort him. "Jake, it will take time.. you are now just learning what it's like to be a wolf.. your time will come." He hurriedly answered. "When? When will my time come- my own pack hates me. I was put up for adoption after my dad died- when the pack could've stepped in and raised me... I would already have my curse." As he looked up she could see the tears that had been building. "Don't think about what if's, Jake. Your life was for a reason, and every path you've taken has led you here.. to this school and I will help you through this.." she watched as the tear rolled down his cheek, and she brushed it away. "How did you trigger your curse?" Jake questioned. Was there a right answer to that? "Well, it was accidental.." she stopped as she recalled the moment in her head before continuing. "I was taking my anger out on a bunch of vampires who betrayed New Orleans... I didn't know there was someone in the attic, and when I used my magic to kill those vampires; I also killed an innocent man." His eyes widened, as if he didn't know she was capable of hurting someone. "I regret it, I always will. But I can't dawn on that moment. You know why?" He shook his head no. "Because it led me here." The boy shrugged, unamused by Hope's words. "You will have a time and place for everything Jake." She said whilst climbing to her feet. He only looked up at her as she motioned for him to join her, and he did. "I hope you're right..." Jake mumbled. One thing she had learned about Jake was, no matter what she and life put him through he always pushed through and wanted to make it to the end. That's what he was trying to do now as he picked up the wooden stick that had fallen to the floor. "Ready" he finally said and the training started again.
