I've come to the conclusion that Adryenne has been avoiding me.
I totally understand, we did almost have sex. And made out on my couch.
But thats besides the point, she didn't come into work for 3 days saying shes "out sick", but everyone knows thats bullshit.
And on top of that she has yet to get her phone back.So here I am with a cut on my nose sitting in the waiting room of the nursing facility with her phone in my pocket.
I get up and go to talk to her assistant Zoey.
"Hey is there anyway I can go in like now?"
She looks at the clock and then at the schedule "Shes on her lunch break."
"Even better."
Her face twists in confusion.
"I mean I have something of hers that I need to return and Im just thinking during her lunch break might be a good time."
"I can ask." For once she's not putting up a fight.
She picks up the phone and presses a few numbers.
"Hey Adryenne, so Rhea is here saying she has to return something of yours- once again. Just wondering if I have to okay to send her?"
She pauses and I notice she turns around behind her to check the clock. She turns back around to talk to me. "Show me what you have."
I pull Adryennes phone out of my pocket and hold it up.
She looks at me and listens into the phone for a second.
"Leave it here."
What? Hell no. It would mess everything up and I wouldn't be able to talk to Adryenne.
"I can't."
"Dude dont make this harder than it has to be. Adryenne said to leave it here, so do that."
"Well I have to get my nose checked out."
She rolls her eyes and her jaw clenches. "She has a cut on her nose too and is requesting to be checked out."
I tapped my foot against the marble floors. I didn't care if she thought I was rude, I want to- no I need to see Adryenne.
"Got it thanks." She nods and hangs up the phone and looks up at me. "Make it quick." she waves her hand in the direction of Adryennes office. I nod as a thank you and walk towards her office.
