"What do you mean you can't come?"
"Exactly what I said." She stated matter of factly.
This girl, always having an attitude.
"That attitude is gonna get you in trouble lil momma." I said pacing my hotel room floor.
"Ohh let me straighten up then." She said mockingly.
"Just tell me why." I countered.
"Okay. I can't go because my friend can't go. My friend can't go because she's having man troubles. She was down with going up until we were walking through the doors to leave. But then she said she couldn't. Now I could easily go by myself or go with someone else. But, to be honest I don't want to go by myself, and I wouldn't want to go to the concert with anyone but her. Plus, she needs me right now. I'd be a bad friend if I left her, and I know that if the roles were reversed, she'd stay with me....because that's what best friends do. And, she's my best friend." She huffed.
"Jas, I get it. I understand. I mean I'm pissed you won't be there, but you gotta be there for your home girl. I get it." I explained
"Thanks."
"No problem. I'll text you later, I have to get to rehearsal or Aubrey ' s gonna flip shit."

"Alright let's go." I said as I grabbed my purse and headed toward she door.
"Go where?" Sammy asked.
"To this party. Brian's going to be there. You can see him and break up with him in the right way." I responded.
"Okay." Sammy said as she grabbed her purse as well and headed towards the door.
"Okay? Just like that? Just... okay?" I asked confused. I would have thought she would put up more of a fight.
"Yep. This is something that needs to be done. The sooner the better." She said as she walked out the door.

As I gazed out the passenger side door window my thoughts consumed me. There were thoughts of Brian, my best friend Jas, the Drake concert I could be at right now, everything.
"Wait a damn second." Jas said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"What?"
"You are giving up going to a Drake concert, you're favorite artist might I add, to go see your cheating future ex boyfriend Brian at a party? Why?"
I sat in silence for a few moments trying to collect my thoughts.
"Well, let's put it this way. When we were leaving to go to the concert, reality set in." I said
"Reality? What do you mean?"
"Well, the reality of the situation is that you, my family, Courtney, Kaitlyn, and unfortunately Brian are all a part of my reality. My life. All of you will have a everlasting mark on my life, and the reason for that is because I've grown to love you all. Whether you all are in my life forever, or you leave next week, your mark has been left, and will be there forever."
I paused for a few moments trying to recollect my thoughts. I ran my hand through my curly brown hair to move it out of my face and continued.
"Brian and I have been dating for 3 years now. Well, until now. And despite the fact that he's hurt me in the worst way possible, emotionally, he deserves more then a text message announcing the end of our relationship. He deserves to 'see' me walk out of his life. Literally." I finished.
"Wow okay. Well I-"
"Also, I wouldn't be able to enjoy the show fully because my ducks aren't all in a row in my personal life. Sure I could go, and have a good time but in the end I would have to go home and attend to my personal life issues. I know I would have enjoyed the concert more if everything was all right at home. Not necessarily perfect, but all right." I continued.
"Okay..well I-"
"And another thing.." I continued.
"It was your idea for me to go to this party and talk to Brian!"
"Yeah I know, but it just dawned on me the reality of the situation. Also, you got one more time to interrupt me when I'm trying to talk to you. That shit is annoying. Also, you talk a lot. I don't know if you realize it. But, you do." Jas snapped.
"Geez sorry. I just wanted to be clear." I explained.
"Yeah whatever. We're here."
I then grabbed my purse and headed into the doors of the building. The party was actually pretty live. There were tons of people in attendance, loud music was playing, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. As I scanned my sorrroundings my eyes landed on Brian. He had his back turned. It was at that moment that I made the decision that I was going to be strong. I was not going to let this man, actually boy, see me cry.
"Brian." I said as I tapped on his shoulder. As he turned around I noticed he looked very starteled.
"We need to talk." I said sharply. That was when I noticed his arm was around no other then Lex. How ironic?
"Sure yeah okay." He breathed out.
When we made it outside the building, I didn't waste anytime.
"We're done."
"Wow...just like that huh? You're just going to assume that I'm cheating." He said as he peered into my eyes.
The fact that he could look into my eyes and lie made me want to slap the shit out of him.
"I'm not assuming anything. Jas saw you kissing Lex at Starbucks, I saw you at the mall with her earlier today also. Which might I add was during the precise time that you said you were working which is why you said we couldn't hang out. And again, you are with her now. You're full of it." I spat.
I then turned on my heel and made my way back inside of the building fighting back tears. As I was looking for Jas I noticed that she was not alone. Rakim, was standing in front of her with his face all types of scrunched up. He looked as if he was going off on her for some reason. Her back was to me so I couldn't really see her reaction.
As I got closer I noticed a tall, lightskin man leaning against a wall looking as of he was enjoying the show. That light skin man was no other then Aubrey Drake Graham. What are the odds?
