Seokjin is flattered by their waitress. She's a cat alpha with a kind smile and she jokes around as she takes all seven of their orders, but when she gets to Seokjin she begins flirting and teasing him with her hand on his shoulder and an alluring scent.

However, her scent gets overpowered by the smell of burning logs. It abruptly stops her from flirting and Seokjin is also just as confused as her, glancing around at the others to see if something bad had happened. Everything seems fine other than the few glances up at where Jungkook is sitting at the other end of the table, diagonal from Seokjin's seat. And then their eyes meet. Jungkook looks repulsed with his sharp gaze on him. He looks... upset.

"Um. I'll be back with your dinner, everyone!" The waitress gives Seokjin a guilty, apologetic look as she leaves their table, and it slightly irritates Seokjin because she didn't do anything wrong. So, he turns the blame onto Jungkook immediately.

"What is wrong with you?"

His voice is loud enough only to make the others grow quiet and look over at him. Seokjin narrows his eyes at Jungkook. But when the alpha lowers himself into his seat and guiltily averts his eyes, Seokjin realizes something and his eyes soften up unwillingly.

He was just jealous.

Why the hell would Jungkook be jealous?

"Jungkook-ah," he calls out, "Come with me."

Seokjin stands up from his seat and Jungkook sheepishly follows with his head down. He takes them outside in the chilly night air so Jungkook's heavy scent will fade with the wind. It works, but the wind is blowing in Seokjin's direction so he can still smell burnt wood as he turns to the alpha.

"Why is your scent like that?" he asks Jungkook, giving him no time to answer, "You made that waitress uncomfortable. Is it because she was flirting with me?"

Jungkook's eyes grow wide and he bites his lower lip, clearly not wanting to admit anything but his eyes speak louder than any words do.

"The potion," Seokjin assumes, making Jungkook look back at him in awe. "You weren't lying? The potion actually made you have feelings for me?"

Now, Jungkook stares dumbly at him. "That's..." He doesn't finish his sentence, so Seokjin assumes he's going to continue staring at him and not communicate like a normal human being.

Seokjin sighs. "I don't understand why the antidote wouldn't work, though. The last love potion clearly made you go nuts over me." He nearly gags as he admits, "Maybe you were right. The first potion might not have been a love potion." He taps his chin with his finger and asks himself quietly, "Is there a crush potion? A like potion?"

Jungkook is no help at all, still staring at him with guilt in his eyes. Seokjin rolls his own.

"Okay, fine, I'm sorry for not believing you." He crosses his arms. "But stop looking so guilty for what you did to the waitress, it's over now. It wasn't your fault or whatever," he scoffs. "Why didn't you insist that the potion had worked? You just let me kick you out of my house and you kept your feelings for me?"

"What was I supposed to do?" Jungkook finally speaks up, scoffing right back at him. "Did you want me to stay in your house just so you could call the cops on me or something? Besides, I did insist. You just wouldn't hear me out."

"You weren't saying anything!" Seokjin argues back. "The antidote clearly worked on the love potion, so I just assumed you lied about it not working the first time."

Jungkook clenches his jaw. "You assume a lot of things." He opens the door to the restaurant. "Our food is being served. I'm going to apologize to our waitress now."

"Wait," Seokjin says as he follows the bunny inside, "I don't want you to like me. We need to figure out how to fix this."

The grimace on Jungkook's face and the souring of his scent makes Seokjin scrunch up his nose. But Jungkook brushes off the scent. "You don't want me to like you? As if me buying you flowers is the worst thing in the world?"

Seokjin shrugs. "Kind of." Not really.

Jungkook rolls his eyes out of sight from Seokjin's view. "Well, that's too bad. You're stuck with it until you find the cure. Better get to work." He leaves Seokjin's side and bows to the waitress, apologizing for running her off, and then he tells her, "You can continue flirting with him. He'd rather have you than me any day."

Baffled, Seokjin's eyes widen as he sits back in his seat, and he also apologizes to the waitress and thanks her for the food. When he looks over at Jungkook's seat, the alpha doesn't spare a single glance at him. Seokjin wonders what kind of spell would make anyone act so in love yet so easily give him off to somebody else. Wasn't he just jealous of her? What the hell?

And Seokjin knows for a fact that he followed the recipe correctly. He quite literally remembers reading the title of the recipe at the top of the page: Love Spell

What kind of love spell did he use, exactly? He can't tell if it's working or not, considering their situation. But there's only one way to make a love potion, so what in the world did he do? Why in the world does Jungkook like him if it wasn't a love spell?
