Staying up all night
I can't fall asleep
because the waves of thoughts
are far too deep

The darkness of the night
is suddenly the scariest thing on earth
and the silence
is the loudest thing I've ever heard

I wish somebody was here
to make the fear disappear

But I'm lying here all alone
in the waves of my thoughts
I'm almost drowned
