Chapter 15: Visitation

Aoki's POV

I was sitting in the lap of my Goblina for some reason, it seemed she was worried... I couldn't see clearly, but I could tell she was releasing a frightened aura.

"What's going on?" I asked her.

"Shhh... Lady Shuna is coming!"

"What for? Tell me..." I began feeling an odd sensation, especially because I couldn't see everything around me especially well.

"Princess Aoki, Lord Rimuru wishes to see you." Shuna simply walked into the small room, and reached out for me. I couldn't escape though. Instead I was carried to another room.

A white room where Mother was curled up in a bed.

Mother's aura was slowly dimming until it settled really weakly, and it almost seemed like he'd gotten smaller.

My emotions were almost uncontrollable at that, I hopped away from Shuna and clung to Mother, trying to offer him some of my magicules.

"Ah. You're here, Aoki... It's fine, I'm alright. You don't need to give me anything." Mother shifted slightly, and as he did I felt two other auras. "I have something to show you."

"Mother, what is wrong? Mother is weak... Frail! Mother's aura is faint." I engaged Thought Acceleration to try and discover the reasons but I could not.

"I just wore myself out a bit... naming these two..." Mother lifted up two small slimes, roughly the same size I was when I was first named. "Meet your little brother, and little sister." It was a green slime and a light pink slime.

"What do you mean? Siblings? Mother can't have children! It isn't safe!" I tried to take away these other encroaching slimes! They were trying to replace me!

There was something worse though... Their mere presence was stealing magicules from Mother. I needed to stop them, but as I tried to reach for them they pushed me back!

"I'm sorry, Aoki... It's a little too late for that. Just... take care of them." Mother started steaming away, first turning into normal water, then water-vapor.

It was a slow process, and I watched! Unable to reach out and help! Those evil 'siblings' kept me away from Mother!

"Don't leave! Mother can't leave!" I knew what that meant as well. "Father can't leave! If Mother leaves! Father is gone too!"

"Aoki... Stop." Mother motioned to me. "You're in charge now, so you need to be strong. Don't worry... you can be so much stronger than me." Those were the final words before Mother faded away completely.

Then those siblings clung to me instead, taking my magicules. Evil creatures.

They began chanting words, in Mother's voice. "Wake up! Wake up!"

I didn't want to listen to them.

Then all my feelings came back, and I could see my 'bedroom' in a destroyed state. More notably, Mother was back! Mother was in front of me! I immediately clung to Mother. "Don't leave again! Stay with me, Mother!"

"Shhhh... I'm not going anywhere," He rubbed me gently as I stuck to his chest tightly.

I could feel that Mother was confused, but he still kept shushing and petting me. I didn't want to let go no matter what.
