We get out of the car and head into the studio and I really hope I get a solo this week since I didn't have one last week.

"This weekend we were in providence Rhode Island an hour outside of Boston some of the most prestigious dance studios in the country were there, tough schools tough competitors and you really held your own you won that victory you killed very proud." Abby says
I smile
We all clap
"Excellent and I'm very proud of every one of you and you know I don't say that often." Abby says
"I'm also very proud that all the moms kept their mouths shut and didn't say anything to me. See how much nicer it is when everything goes so smoothly?" Abby adds
I'm shocked that no big fight happened between my mom and Abby.
"Now, let's talk about this week's competition." Abby says then she flips over the chalkboard.

"We are going to, what?" Abby asks us
"Star power!" We all say
"It's at the Mohegan sun in Connecticut and it's a resort. It's all self-contained, we can't forget anything so we will have a wardrobe for each day that they are going to be there, just like the old school days, yes? And you will pack here in front of me so I know you have everything. Let's talk about the board." Abby says
"First of all everybody worked together as a team. That teamwork is gonna help you at nationals that's gonna put you over the top. Teamwork and technique, those are the two things we are gonna concentrate on this week. Moms were doing another new number!" Abby says
Us girls cheer.
"Woohoo!" I say
The moms don't look happy.
"One more costume!" Abby says
"This week ima ask you to work harder than you ever worked before. We need to show up and walk in there like we own the place and I will give you a pack list for clothes for the trip and I want them dressed a certain way every single day we are there does everyone understand that? Yes, moms thank you very much ladies let's get up let's go." Abby says and the moms leave to go upstairs
Group rehearsals
"Push through tighten abs, stronger arm stronger arm stronger arm passé." Abby says to Maddie
"Ribs are open derrière is out tighten it, tighten it no squishy." Abby says to Nia
Abby's taking time out of our group rehearsal to focus on strength and technique but I think we should be focused on the group right now.
Four days to competition
Abby is having us whatch Maddie's solo rehearsal and it is a good solo it's lyrical and she is good at lyrical.
