Owen and I let out a loud gasp, having a hard time to believe that we're actually witnessing this miracle. Both of us stare at the person wide eyed and mouth hanging open.

I still think it's just a fragment of my imagination.

The said person glances up from his book to us. He raises his perfect eyebrow and after a few seconds of neither me nor Owen uttering anything, he shrugs his shoulders and goes back to reading.

Owen and I are completely rendered speechless. This is not normal.

After another two or three minutes, Owen moves closer to me.

"Please tell me you're seeing what I'm seeing," He whispers to me in urgency.

"Yeah, Owey, I'm seeing the same thing. Do you think he's, uhm, possessed?" I try to whisper back to him.

Owen pinches my arm hard.

"Dude. What the heck?" I swat his hand away.

"I was just making sure that I wasn't dreaming or anything," he says innocently.

"And you had to pinch me for that?" I try not to lose my temper.

"You know I bruise like a peach." He reasons. I glare at him rubbing my arm. "Don't be mad now. We have more pressing matters into our hands," he motions towards our best friend- Liam, who looks completely engrossed in his book.

"I think he's dying, Ray. Call 911 now," Owen shouts.

The other students give us a dirty look. He gives them a sheepish smile and mouths back sorry.

"Is he alright? Why is he here? And why is there umm a b-b-b-o-o-k-k in his hands?" I even struggle to say the word. "Do you think somebody bullied him into doing their homework?"

I desperately try to find the reason behind Lee's odd behavior.

Trust me when I say we're not crazy and we're not exaggerating. Because this does not happen often. Actually, it doesn't happen at all. Period. Lee never willingly opens a book. We have to force him to do that.

I don't think in three years of high school, I've ever seen him set foot in the library. This is the first time he has graced the library with his presence.

"Can't you people see me? Or have I finally gone invisible. Please stop talking as if I'm not even here," Lee speaks up for the first time annoyed by our behavior.

"Lee, are you feeling alright?" I reach over to touch his forehead to check if he has a temperature. But before I could, he smacks my hand away.

Ouch!

"Yeah, I'm perfectly fine. Stop being so dramatic you two." He glares at us. His blue eyes fill with determination as he speaks. "Starting from today, I'm gonna dedicate my life learning this useless crap that I don't think I'm ever gonna use in my life. Like where in my life would I use Thesaurus? My life is certainly not an obese angle to use thesaurus-"
