His Truth, Her Lie - A Waterloo Road "Love" Story

Chapter One

"Morning babe, you're up early." Hector said, walking into the kitchen and seeing his wife sat at the table with her hands cupped around a mug of tea.

She turned to look over her shoulder at him as he closed the door. "Yeah, I'm good babe, did you sleep alright?" Ella replied, forcing a weak smile.

"Yeah, fine, but what are you doing down here? How long have you been down here?" Hector asked, grabbing out various items from the cupboards and fridge to make his breakfast.

"Oh, since about five, I just couldn't sleep, I'm a bag of nerves." Ella sighed, biting her head in her hands and sighing heavily.

"Darling, you're going to be absolutely fine. Michael is so looking forward to you joining not just the English department, but the school too. I've told everyone all about you, they can't wait to meet you!" Hector said enthusiastically.

"That is all well and good, and I appreciate you creating a good name and reputation for me before I'm even there, but I don't think it's going to aide my fears." Ella said.

She got up from the table and pushed her chair in. She poured away the remainder of her tea as it had gone stone cold, gave Hector a kiss and then walked back upstairs to start getting ready.

Hector soon joined her and they found themselves in their walk in shower, situated in their en suite bathroom. Hector brought himself up behind Ella, placing his hands on her shoulders and running them down her body. The water ran down their bodies, slowly intensifying the electricity and list between them. Ella turned to face him and put her hands around his neck. She kissed him deeply and he pulled her in as close as he could. He started grabbing her skin and pulling her hair, making her do what she was told. They continued to make love in the shower for almost twenty minutes, and when they both realised the time, Ella jumped out of the shower.

"Hector, we're going to be so late!" Ella panicked.

"Babe, please calm down, it's going to be absolutely fine." Hector said.

After both getting dried and dressed, they got into Hector's car and drove to the school. When they arrived, students were flocking in from all directions. As they pulled into the car park, the married couple could see members of the faculty, including Michael Byrne, Christine Mulgrew, Tom Clarkson and Daniel Chalk. Hector parked the car, gave Ella a reassuring look and then they both got out.

Ella and Hector walked together, towards the other teachers and she gave them a confident smile. "See, you're doing great already." Hector said through gritted teeth, whilst also bearing a smile.

"Goodmorning Hector, this must be your wife, Ella." Michael said.

"Morning Michael, yes it is. Ella, this is Michael, Tom, Daniel and Christine. Everyone's meet Ella." Hector said proudly. Ella greeted everyone with a "hello" and confident smile. Her eyes panned over the people standing before her, and very briefly stopped at not just one, but two individuals.

They all went inside and headed straight for the staff room. Michael stood at the front and got the attention of everyone in there.

"Morning everyone, I hope you all had a good half term. We ended last term on a really good note, with 82% of our year elevens achieving a grade six or more in their mocks, so that really is fantastic. With that being said, I'd like us to go into this term with the same mindset and strive to not do the same, but rather do better. As some of you may have noticed, we have a new face with us today, Ella Reid is joining the English department, I hope, and imagine, that you'll all make her feel welcome." Michael said.

Michael made a few more announcements off the morning meeting agenda, Ella made a few introductions, kissed Hector goodbye, and then followed Tom to the English department. She was starting to get really nervous for her first lesson. She had year eight, so she was hoping it wouldn't be too difficult, but she'd also have Tom in the classroom too, considering he's the head of English.
