Chapter 7: Nico

I gulped and gripped Will's hand as if there was no tomorrow. Will had told me what to expect, and I did think that she was a great woman, but I was still so fucking nervous. We walked to the wide pine board porch of the lemon yellow 2 story house, and Will was about to ring the doorbell until he - "Oh! I have my keys.", Will rummaged around his CHB knapsack and fished out a Sun keyring with a key attached. He didn't need to use it because a woman that was very obviously Naomi Solace appeared in the suddenly open doorway and started grinning. 'So that's where he got his smile...', because that was a very familiar smile. Naomi hugged Will in a loving embrace and kissed both his cheeks. Will grinned as well, "Hey, Mom.". I was surprised because she didn't leave any lipstick marks, and her lips looked very...Nice? Now I know where Will got his lips from. Naomi then turned to me and smiled even more, if that was even possible, "So you must be...Nico! You're the boyfriend, huh? Has Will been taking care of you well?". I didn't manage to get anything out except for a 'yes?' and a 'yes?'. I looked over to Will and his arms were crossed, he was blushing and glaring at his mom. I touched my cheek and it felt pretty heated. Ugh. So embarrassing. Naomi tossed her head back and laughed, "You boys are so cute. Come one inside!". Now I know where Will got his drawl from.

Once we got inside, Naomi had closed the door, and the two Solaces had started taking their shoes off. I cocked my head at Will and he rolled his eyes, "What, do you expect me to be unsanitary in my own home?". Naomi smiled at me and started to speak,"Will knew he wanted to be a doctor from the start. I should have known, since he has always seemed to have a knack for...Chemistry, not to mention...Biology.". At this point, I was starting to think she had a winking tic, but Will and I were once again, blushing. Will shook his head and Naomi just put her hands on Will's and my shoulders. "Sorry about that, I just had to. You are a real cute couple...". Will put his face in his hands and groaned."Please stop.". Naomi put a hand to her chest, as if Will was offending her.

"How dare you! I am your mother! I simply care for you!", at this point she turned to me,"And now, Nico too.".

I smiled bashfully at Naomi and smirked at Will. He just scoffed and crossed his arms. Naomi let go of us and shooed us away."Go to your room and do...I don't know...Whatever you kids do these day.". Naomi left to another room.
