When Sakura came to, the first thing she noticed was that her room was cleaned up. The second thing she noticed was there were arms around her waist and for a moment she thought it was Sasuke, then she smelled fresh rain.
Sakura's face turned cherry red, and she slowly turned her head to find Nagato behind her, holding her to him. She almost squealed in surprise but clamped a hand to her mouth just in time to muffle the sound. Of course, that didn't matter as Nagato's eyes slowly fluttered open anyway.
Nagato smiled as he looked at her sleepily. He turned her to where her body faced his and held her to him closely. This made her face turn a brighter shade of red that matched his hair, and he couldn't help himself anymore as he gently kissed her lips. This time Sakura did let out a surprised squeal causing Nagato to laugh.
"What was that for?" she asked him as she covered her face in embarrassment.
Nagato continued laughing for a moment before he moved to take her hands in his as he sat up, pulling her with him.
"Cause you're cute," he said with a simple shrug and bright smile, as if it was no big deal that he just kissed her.
"I thought you would sleep in the other room honestly," she said in a small voice as she looked down.
"I wanted to give Konan and Yahiko some room and figured you wouldn't mind," he said sheepishly.
Sakura blushed.
"I-I don't mind," she said softly with a small smile.
Nagato smiled softly at her then grinned.
"So, you wouldn't mind another one?" he asked as he pulled her into his lap.
Sakura's face turned another shade of red as he leaned down to her, but before he could kiss her there was a knock at the door. It was then Sakura realized how late in the morning it was as she looked at the clock on her bedside table.
"We slept that long?" she asked with a laugh.
Nagato laughed along with her then the knocking got louder. Sakura groaned and untangled herself from Nagato to go to the door as Nagato leisurely got up and went to the kitchen. It wasn't long before the door slammed shut hard enough to shake the house. Konan and Yahiko ran down the stairs in a panic at the sound.
"What in the world is going on?" Konan asked as Yahiko tried to fix his unmanageable locks of ginger hair while still looking concerned.
"It was that bastard, Sasuke!" Sakura fumed as she stormed past the two and up the stairs to get ready for the day.
"What did he do to her?" Yahiko asked Nagato.
"He was her first love," Nagato said simply and Yahiko's mouth opened in a surprised "oh" shape.
Konan laughed at the man and closed his mouth as she too went to get ready for the day. There wasn't much planned for the day except more talking with Tsunade. Things didn't get completely settled on their side, but everything settled with Gaara and them.
"So what are your plans for today then?" Sakura asked once they were all gathered in the living room eating breakfast.
"We still need to talk to the village elders here," Yahiko said, his mouth full of food.
Konan smacked him lightly upside his head for that and Yahiko smiled sheepishly and continued eating his food instead of talking and eating.
"We need to get the elders to agree," Konan said, continuing the conversation for her partner.
Sakura nodded in understanding and looked at Nagato.
"So, you need to go too?" she asked.
Nagato sighed and nodded ruefully. "I haven't fully resigned from being the leader of Akatsuki and Ame yet, so I have to be there."
